The Railway House — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Muinebeag

This was my second visit in 1 month and compared to my first time, my second visit was awful. We had a table booked for four people and once we were sat down the service was poor. The orders were taken abs food arrived in an acceptable time, but from here on we were hard pushed to get a refill if a jug of water or to have table cleared. I ended up having to go to the bar (where two member of staff were talking about wages and completely ignored me) to ask for water and to order desert (we had brought a cake so wanted it served).

The cake order was taken and brought to the table while all of the dinner plates were still on the table with no effort made to clear them away (we tidied them to make room).

Overall, the food was mediocre and the service was awful (non existent mostly) during a not particularly busy period.

I will not be recommending this establishment...

The pints of Guinness, I must opine, have regrettably left me disheartened. In a perplexing manner, I have observed fellow imbibers partaking in this ebony libation with evident delight, while my own palate finds itself averse. To these esteemed gentlemen, I humbly proffer the suggestion of seeking an alternative establishment, for it is my considered conviction that Guinness does not in actuality present the nuanced and robust flavor profile one might anticipate, but rather, it often appears akin to a poorly seasoned dilution reminiscent of dishwater inadvertently scooped from the confines of a domestic dishwasher.

However, the staff whom waited the bar were quite pleasant and very attentive. For this I add a star. If it were not for the appalling stout, you would have received a five...

Food good. Service adequate. I ordered fried chicken with veg and potatoes. Looked great but plate garnished/decorated ordered with balsamic vinegar , terrible combination pulse pureed cranberry . My garlic bread had soaked up the vinegar. I am literally allergic to vinegar it turns my stomach. I said to the waitress that those ingredients should have been stated on the menu. I would have asked for the meal without the garnish . My sister had ordered a different meal , not my favourite but we agreed to swop meals as the waitress appeared taken back that I raised an objection to the dressings. She did offer somewhat reluctantly to take it back . I did not want to cause a problem as the food looked good and my sister confirmed it...
