The Grasshopper Inn — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Ratoath

We called into the grasshopper inn on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by the bar lady on entering, which was pleasantly surprising and which I find sadly rare these days. We were promptly given menus. It was quiet but it was early on a wet Friday afternoon, it didn't bother us, I'm sure it would be busier later in the day. In saying that there was a function on in the function room. The food was lovely and hot, something which also can be rare. The bill was quite reasonable also. I just recently had a Christening in the function room at the Grasshopper. I cannot speak highly enough of the place. Martin and the team were amazing to deal with and all the staff were exceptional on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. There is a super friendly atmosphere there in general. The food was fresh and delicious and the space was fantastic for an event. Everyone commented on the food and the professionalism of the staff. Great pub located conveniently on the main street. We were there in the function room which is right beside the pub. The pub has a nice ambient vibe, open bars in pretty much every direction. Not too busy for a Friday. The event room had a strange set-up where the stage took up half of the floor space. Floor space can be cramped for even a smaller gathering. There's a bar inside the event room available on request. If you have your own catering, it eats up into your floor spaces. It really is suitable for a small gathering prob 50 or less.
