I was working in Rathvilly for the day and I was recommended to try this place for lunch. When I went in I was very happy to see how clean the Cafe was, and I noticed that they had some mouth watering bakes available. I ordered the burger with chips for takeaway, and I could not be more pleased: the portion is big, the bacon was crispy and the secret sauce has a lovely kick to it. I will definetely be back soon to try some of their bakes and the coffee too.

Found this gem by accident, early one Sunday morning. It looked like it was just opening for the morning, so stopped for a coffee....Wow! It was buzzing inside, full breakfasts in front of happy customers. When in Rome....ordered a full Irish and was served outside in glorious sunshine by a really friendly staff. Food was delicious and good value. Came back on a bike trip a month later. Lunch this time, and standard was the same. I'll be back!

Finally got to visit this gorgeous little restaurant. Food was so fresh & exceptionally tasty..really friendly staff. Cafe was busy little hive, even in the middle of storm Agnes, their customers were still out. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the goats cheese starters on sourdough. Delicious. I wish I'd taken a before picture...bit here's the after!!! Plates cleared all round..Will definitely be back.

My family and I were over in Ireland from Manchester for a family get together in Carlow and after reading reviews on the best Irish breakfast locally we decided to try the GLC&B... we called into this wonderful establishment yesterday 26/04 and OMG!!!! It didn't dissapoint.. The atmosphere was one of a busy but local, family and community feel with a range of ages from toddlers to adults and older dults all being welcomed and catered for in a courteous, friendly and professional manner. The food was hot and absolutely the best!!! Full English was my favourite go to startt to the day...not any more... it has to be a Full Irish breakfast for me from now on I can tell you. What a gem of a place and how lucky the local community are to have such a vibrant welcoming space to enjoy. Thank you so much to all the staff you are a credit...

I visited today with my grandson, we like to find a smaller spot as he has additional needs and doesn’t like crowded places.

It was busy enough inside but we got a table straight away, Page helped us out and went above and beyond.

The food arrived and the portion was a great size, I had Breaded Plaice which was cooked beautifully. The atmosphere was lovely even though they were busy. My grandson took a shine to page which he wouldn’t normally do but she was a great help in making us comfortable and even took him after to stick up his colouring sheet.

Thank you to Page for making our experience so lovely, you made all both of our day.

Thank you to the green lemon for having such a friend environment with great food We can’t wait for...

Went there for 2 Too good to go order. It was supposed to be €30 worth of baked goods. What I received was 1 plain scone, 1 croissant, 2 small chocolate chip cookies and 2 small bonoffi tarts. The scone was OK bit dry and the croissant was very good but the cookies were stale and inedible like they've been left on a counter for a good few days and I can't comment on the 2 bonoffi tarts which looked nice, because I'm allergic to bananas. You can go into any other bakery and get what I got for less than €15. I went in another time a it cost €16 for a small raspberry tart a cream donut and a tiny iced bun. Seems to be...
