Edited review: I provided an honest review of our experience at this establishment last week, which you can find below. The management replied to this response, which can be seen in the attached photo. I have since updated the star rating from 2 stars to 1 because of this response.

The response had an apology for our experience, yet in the next sentence stated we imagined our waitress rolled her eyes, because that is uncharacteristic of her.

There was no accountability taken for the fact that a portion of my meal was missing, the fact that she wanted to charge us for the missing food that is stated in the menu as part of the meal, or for the other rude behaviors displayed by this staff member. All of which must be typical behavior if the eye roll was the only thing management couldn't believe happened during our experience.

The management also called our experience an isolated incident. However, there are other numerous reviews within the past few months stating terrible service was received. These reviews can be found on both this site and other travel sites.

My recommendation is to avoid this place if you can. The food is not worth the terrible in-person experience (especially for the high prices!) or the post-visit message from the management insinuating you are lying when an issue is addressed.

.................. Original Review: The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. It also came out very quickly. It was a bit pricey, though. For two people, we spent 75.50 euros (88.50 USD)

We don't mind spending that amount when the food is good with decent service. However, the service tonight (Sept 6th) was terrible. A gentleman seated us right away and was polite. Our waitress (the brunette) didn't welcome us or even tell us her name. She walked up and said "You know what you want?"

My husband ordered the steak sandwich, and I ordered the 8oz steak. I asked her what came on the salad that was part of both of our meals and she snapped at me, "I don't know it's just a regular side salad!" She then walked away to place our orders. Someone else brought us our drinks and another person brought our meals.

We had to wave at her to finally get her attention. I mentioned that I did not receive the salad with my meal. She rolled her eyes and walked into the back. She came back a couple of minutes later and said, "You get either the potatoes or the salad."

I started to reply, "Oh, the menu said-" She cut me off and said, "It'll be an extra charge. You want it or not?"

So I tried to explain again, "No, the menu says-" but she turned and walked away. She did not stop by our table again until someone else cleared our plates and dropped off a dessert menu. My husband ordered dessert, then we had to wait another 15 minutes after he was finished with it before we could finally wave her down to get our bill.

While the food was good, we certainly won't be back here...

Coming here twice a month past 3 years , because the food is the BEST around and I live in county Limerick. The staff are always so lovely except for today. The waitress who was at the ice cream machine giving out cones was SO ignorant it made me not want to even order dessert. We were seated and left there for over 10 mins I had to go looking for menus myself. We asked the girl at the ice cream machine could she take an order as we were in a rush to eat and go because of bed time for my kids , she said so rudley ' you'll have to give me a few minutes now I'm doing something' . She ended up making the cones for us she came down and handed me the cone with nothing on it I asked could I get some sauce or something on top of it and she rudley barked back ' I wasn't told you wanted sauce on your cone' bare in mind she didn't even say what sauces/ topping she could offer us, I'm a waitress myself and to me this is absolutely un acceptable. It costs nothing to be nice we all have problems in our life mabey she was having a bad day but leave the problems at home because I have to when I go to work. Looks like she hates her job to me. Food as always...

1st impressions were very good. Clean, bright and spacious. The waiter came right away and provided the menu and took our drinks order. The menu had all the usual options. We ordered our food. I opted for the Baked Salmon with a herb crust. My wife had Oriental Stir-fry. When the food arrived my wife got her Stir-fry but I was given a plate with some sort of beige fish with a topping that looked more like black pudding than a herd crust. The waiter that brought the plate disappeared before I could speak. I called another member of staff over and asked what was on my plate as it certainly not salmon. I was told they had no salmon and I had been given hake. The hake was over cooked, dryer and without seasoning. The mash potato was lumpy and cool in the centre. I spoke with the 1st waiter who apologised. No sign of the manager!!! I would suggest if you go here get the waiter to check with the chef to make sure what's on the menu is available. Poor quality food and little in the way of any kind of catering...
