The Holy Cross Bar & Restaurant Waterford Located on the N25 Just outside Waterford City on the Way to Cork. Large ample car park, ald although the car park is loose stone, which may cause a problem for some wheelchairs, or buggies etc, in general, accessibility here is good. The decor here is very traditional. Quite clearly once a thriving pub, the food offering here has taken primary purpose of the building now, but that traditional pub feel is retained with a wood burning stove, high ceilings with open rafters, lots of traditional pub decorations such as a vintage pushbike mounted in the rafters as well as pictures from around the locality, and pub based curios on display. The Holy cross has a great atmosphere whenever you call. At peak times, it can be very busy, but a large spacious inside area ensures plenty of people can get seated, yet it doesn't feel too large or cavernous. There are a few nice separate areas to sit. Despite its capacity for large crowds, on busy days, queues do form, which in itself is a good sign. My advice if you are thinking of visiting at what you may consider to be a popular time, try to beat the crowd. Get in ahead of 10am for breakfast or before...

I gave 5 stars we went for breakfast my partners got the full breakfast which only came with 1 sausage even though two was on the menu I got eggs benidict which came with 1 rasher.. Previously it came with 2 and 2 poached eggs. I can only think that the chef was running low but it would have been nice if someone said something to us. But the food was delicious I have to say and the place is immaculate and clean. Just a side note the coffee that comes with the breakfast is dreadful really cheap tasting nasty stuff. Order an American coffee lovers. I would recommend and...

Yeah, its alright. okay food, nice place, nice workers but uncomfortable seats so, you wont be staying for long and prices are an acceptable average

Food was alright but very inconsistent in quality between meals.

the building itself was nice place and quite large but the tables (ows atleast) wasn't very clean and the seats were very uncomfortable though they do realize this as they put down pillows trying to fix the issue.

the barmen and waiters were nice people happy to serve you.

Price's are at a good average (3 Main's, 1 dessert, 2 soda's, 1 spirit, 1 beer...

It was our first time in Holy Cross today, Travelling back to Tipperary. First impression: A warm, friendly welcome from the staff. They are so nice, friendly and sociable. Special shout out to Tadhg, who looked after us so so well. How blessed are the proprietors to have such great staff. The food: Amazing. Top class. Fantastic chef, for sure. Bar and restaurant: Cosy, spotless, and beautiful decor.

Stopped off for lunch. Carvey menu, had chicken curry and partner had boiled bacon and cabbage. Portions nice size, more peppers than chicken in curry and more mash and veg than bacon. Food was not hot! Won't be going back. Sad really, looks like a really nice place.
