Food wasn't as expected and below average in taste, cooked and priced. 3 of us ordered steak n ale pie of special board. It seemed to be a shop bought pie. And the chips were frozen chips and were hard and anaemic. Veg also seemed to be processed veg. Sunday roast beef dinner wasn't hot. Partner had a mackerel salad stater x 2 as he didn't fancy hot food. The price was obviously doubled, which we were happy to pay for, but the portion didn't seem to doubled. Overall a very disappointing visit as we also had to wait 40 minutes for our lunch to arrive. The staff were very friendly and always kept us informed of when our lunch would arrive so we left a £5...

Not recommended. Below average for food and certainly NOT service with a smile. Saw a waiter drop the bun off top of burger at the bar. It was on the floor for several minutes while he chatted behind the bar, he then picked the bun top up put it back on the burger and took it away. Hopefully he didn't give it to a customer, but we will never know. While we sat, the bar man and waiter's said they were sorry to three customer's over complaints, but clearly we're not genuine. Will not...

My son and I, with our wives, were visiting Narradale Farm, Sulby, where I grew up, and had lunch at the Raven only because it was Dog Friendly and not too far.

Excellent choice !

We were really just having something light, but the large, varied menu and inspirational Specials Board encouraged us all to three courses, all delicious and well priced.

Helpful and happy staff. Very clean and comfortable old pub. Just wish it was at the end of our road (but...

What a great pub. We visited during the TT and will head straight there the next and every other TT we go to. Luckily we came from inside the circuit as once the road closed it’s not accessible from outside the circuit. We had a couple of nice pints of ale while watching the motorbikes jump in front of us, the food smelt lovely. We had some cheesy chips to take the edge off as we had dinner booked elsewhere, but next TT we will definitely eat at the Raven.

Got the Lamb Soup it was really good. The woman taking the order was either new or didn't know what she was doing. When taking orders she would punch some buttons on the register and then punch a few more. Then look confused then punch a few more. There was some issue with my credit card but wouldn't say if it was declined or something else. Just there is an issue. Maybe the place was really busy and she was stressed.

The staff are very friendly, and there is a lot of food options, with many specials. The Steak & Ale Pie was a particular highlight, although all of it was delicious, especially the chips. A truly proper British Pub!
