Well it was my birthday and my mates birthday when we went to the famous Creg Ny Baa for our meal taking with us our wives, myself and my mates wife ordered a fillet steak only to be told by the waitress that they didn't have any left this was at 7pm,we pondered for a while and i changed my order to a sirloin steak when it came it was only about 8mm thick and was advertised as a 8oz steak (i doubt it). my mates wife changed her order to Chefs spicy chicken in batter but there was hardly any chicken and was an explosion of thick batter and she struggled to find much chicken. The waitress came along and asked is everything ok to which my mates wife said no and showed her the plateful of batter the waitress then said would you like anything else instead but this was too late as she had struggled through what she had, on her behalf i asked if there could be any compensation and the waitress said i can offer you a free pudding but she declined this offer as no one else was having one. Then it was time for us to pay the bill which the waitress brought to our table and on checking it they were charging full price bear in mind we had spent over £100.I asked if they would credit us with half the cost of the said meal but they refused and threatened to call the police if we did not pay in full.that left us with no option and we paid the bill in full.so people be warned by all means go to the famous Creg but never complain and please do not order chefs spicy chicken as all you will get served is...

On a short visit to Isle of Man, we decided to go to this Pub/Restaurant because the menu has vegetarian/vegan options. What a perfect decision!
We ordered a special starter, Mozarella sticks with garlic dip (house made!) Gorgeous for a starter. After that, we orderer the vegie burger and the vegie stroganoff. I think they NAILED it. The burger was chickpea-based (like a falafel) with onion, carrot and other vegetables, cumin scent but not overload like "tipical" vegetarian meal chickpea-based, delicious and balanced tomato relish as sauce (no need to ruin it with ketchup) and filling the plate with chips, side salad and colslaw. Just £10.50.
The stroganoff, despites of the rice was a preboiled grain, which I would use a normal one to help to absorve the sauce, it was DELICIOUS! Turmeric flavor sauce, chunky vegetables and garlic bread to help clean the plate at the end. Again, £10.50.
Staff was so helpfull, smiling, kind and easy going. Keep those people because they are the perfect face of the bussines.
Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCould not visit the TT and have a pint at the legendary Creg Ny Baa. Stopped of on a practice day and managed to get a couple of pints in before the roads closed. The staff were all very friendly and there was also a good selection of food available until quite late in the evening. Although the pub was busy we still managed to get a seat (outside) and then when the practice session started there are quite a few options for watching the action (some you have to pay for, some free). The best place to see the action has to be the grass bank on the left hand side of the road. If you were going during race week, check the pubs web site before going for information on viewing etc. We did go back on a race day where decent additional catering facilities had been provided in one of the fields, which helped with the increased numbers of spectators at the Creg. If you are at the TT a stop at the Creg is an...
