Fabulous location, but never fails to dissappoint. We have only been on a few occasions and we always recal why we actually don't go that often.Appart from one fabulous diner there many years ago. The food has always been less than average dependant on who has the contract to run the place. The theme now seems to be whopping portions much of which gets left. My cheese ploughmans must have had over half a pound of cheese from selection of Manx cheeses, broken off unceremoniously from larger slabs. Quantity over quality I would say. Crushed black pepper and chilli flavours being my most disliked choice of Manx cheese. Why this was topped off by a pile of grated cheese I failed to grasp. Actually it was the only edible cheese on the plate which meant there was something to eat with the toasted bread? Enough salad to share between the 4 on the table next to us. I did get an apology and was given a refund. Portion control needs addressing or they will be loosing money hand over fist. Also would it be too much to ask to get the only toilet door lock fixed which opens out into the foyer. Good job I had someone to...

The two waitresses, who i didn't get their names. Are a true credit to the establishment and did their best to make sure we had a great meal. Which they by far exceeded.
Starters of garlic mushrooms, queenies were lovely. The queenies were magnificent, the bacon and queenie combo is a match winner.
Mains of sea bass, crab, bbq chicken and fish n chips. Again no complaints and by far exceed expectations. Clearly its the chef working to a high standard like the waitresses.
Its my 9th year visiting the rock and today will only see me return...
Read moreIt was horried and we really should have complained at the time. The chips were more like oven chips warmed up again in a microwave. The burger roll was burnt around the edge. The worst was yet to come. My friend had cheese ploughman's. It was a plate of salad with a spinkel of grated cheese and salad cream. Then the strangest part of all was my friend was asked if she would Ike tiger bread with it , which she did. ........but oddly it was toasted. We have never seen grated cheese and toast as part of a ploughman's. The Tolets were not very clean either . We will not be going there again it was very...
