Good food and quick service, and a very nice atmosphere. A very nice place to visit on the way to or from Jerusalem, whether you love Elvis or not.
My visit to Elvis provided a memorable and enjoyable experience dedicated to the legendary Elvis Presley.
Situated on the main road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Elvis is conveniently located for a quick bite during your trip. It is housed inside a gas station area and has a charming diner-style ambiance.
Elvis showcases an impressive collection of memorabilia, immersing guests in the life and legacy of the King. The menu offers a satisfactory variety of dishes, although some could benefit from further refinement. The attentive and friendly service adds to the overall positive experience.
The ambiance at Elvis, accompanied by an Elvis-themed playlist, creates a lively and nostalgic atmosphere. While primarily appealing to Elvis enthusiasts, it adds a unique touch for all guests. Although not frequent, the live Elvis impersonator performances enhance the entertainment value.
Additionally, there is ample free parking available within the gas station premises, making it convenient for visitors.
In conclusion, Elvis offers a memorable tribute to Elvis Presley, providing an enjoyable dining experience. Despite minor areas for improvement, the nice atmosphere, good service, and genuine homage to the King make it a worthwhile visit. With its combination of tasty food, quick service, and Elvis-themed ambiance, Elvis is a nice destination for fans and...
Read moreOnly a few days into a month long business trip to Israel, I was already longing for some American food. As luck would have it, The Elvis American Diner just happened to be on the way to my hotel in Neve Ilan, 15 minutes west of Jerusalem. It is just off of Highway 1. They close at 7pm most days, and I didn't have the opportunity to try it out until my first day off. After spending the day visiting Jerusalem, I made sure I left time to stop there on my way back to my hotel as they closed at 6pm on Friday. I was not disappointed. I ordered a cheese burger, fries and a Coke. The burger was just like one I would get at a restaurant in the US. The steak fries were cooked just way I like them. I savored every bite and will be back before I return to the US. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. So if you're craving an American meal while in Israel, you should make it a point to visit this eatery. The decor is 100% dedicated to "The King of Rock and Roll" & Elvis tunes is all you'll hear. I didn't look at the menu so I can't speak to what...
Read moreIt is a unique place. Packed with Elvis memorabilia, 2 statues of him inside, no empty space on the walls or a even the ceiling without his picture or a painting of him or something else Elvis related. The food and the service themselves were less impressive. There's a self-serve stand with some basic hotdogs and hummus and stuff like that which I overlooked. There is a table service as well with a different menu, with some salads, hummus, burgers, shawarma. The service waz not too good - we've asked about the salad dish whether it contains coriander or eggplants and the waiter said that it doesn't, but it had eggplant in it when he brought it. The food itself wasn't too good and the hummus dish was small and not impressive. You do, however, get a free Elvis mug if you order coffee or a milkshake.
Perhaps this place used to be better in the seventies or the eighties, but its a small detour on a way to/from Jerusalem so it is worth a visit to take some pictures and maybe...
