Imperial Red אימפריאל רד — Restaurant in Mate Yehuda Regional Council

If you're familiar with Zuta cocktail bar in the center of Jerusalem then you'll feel that Imperial Red's ambience is similar. I'm not sure why, but I was expecting a much larger venue. When we got there, I was nervous we'd feel claustrophobic, that's how small and 'intimate' it seemed. However as the evening wore on, the redeeming points overcame the physical size of this bar. The service was lovely, attentive staff, generous portions - and truly good food (located in one of the Isrotel hotels, I expected nothing less and wasn't disappointed). The cocktails were good, the 'serveuse' (waitress) suggested one not on the menu which was also really well made. The ambience is cozy, older hits playing in the background. The crowd was generally upper 20s + one of the reasons being that this is an off-the-beaten-track venue and public transportation isn't an option. The locale of the hotel is charming, nestled in the hills surrounding Jerusalem which makes for a potentially romantic, enchanted outing.. L'chaim Will DEFINITELY go...

תקציר: בר קטן ואינטימי,שירות יוצא מגדר הרגיל, וקוקטילים טובים אך לא מיוחדים מאוד למרות הציפיה. הגעה: הבר נמצא בתוך מלון "כרמים", ויש חניה בשטח המלון. אוכל ושתיה: הגענו בשבת ולכן חלק מהמנות לא היו, הזמנו רק קוקטילים ונשנושים אשר הגיעו עם האלכוהול. חלק מהקוקטילים אהבנו, חלק פחות אך יש מגוון רחב מאוד ובטוח שתמצאו את מה שתחשקו בו. לצערנו הקוקטילים לא היו מוגשים בצורה מיוחדת מאוד - דבר המצופה מבר קוקטילים נחשב - אך בסופו של דבר מצאנו קוקטילים שאהבנו וזה מה שחשוב לדעתי. אווירה ושירות: הבר קטן מאוד עם כ10 שולחנות ולכן כדאי להזמין מקום מראש, רוב הנוכחים במקום הם אורחי המלון לכן אין לבוש/תחושה של בר ברמה גבוה מאוד, אך האווירה היא קלאסית נעימה עם מוסיקה מעולה ותחשה עתיקה, בסגנון בר "גטסבי" במרכז העיר.

השירות מעולה, מלצרים מתחשבים וקשובים עם הצעות רבות לקוקטילים השונים. יש תשומת לב גם בדברים הקטנים: מילוי המים כול פעם שנגמר עצמאית, ומילוי הקעריות הקטנות עם הנשנושים. היו קוקטילים שהזמנו וממש לא התחברנו, המלצר בשמחה החליף עד שמצאנו את מה שהתחברנו אליו.

לסיכום מקום מומלץ בהחלט! למרות שהבר באותה רשת בתא, הוא מגוון יותר ועם הגשה מיוחדת יותר לקוקטילים.

Never thought this tiny branch of the Tel Aviv Imperial Bar would live up to its name sake's quality, but it really did. The bar tenders displayed just the same knowledge of alcohol and mixology and had a very good and creative recommendation for an off the menu cocktail. The vibe is quaint and romantic. Wholly...
