זה נדיר שיודעים שהולך להיות ארוחה טעימה עוד לפני שלוקחים ביס. ישר עוד לפני שפתחתי את האריזה, יש ריח חלומי שאפשר להשיג רק מירקות ועשבים ארומטיים. ואז פותחים את האוכל והדבר ראשון שרואים זה צבע. ירוק בוהק של עלים ושעועית ירוקה, אדום של פלפלים וכו. בד"כ במסעדות אסייתיות הצבע נהיה אפור כזה עם הבישול התעשייתי או בגלל איזה רוטב סמיך שהכינו שנתיים מראש. לא כאן. יש רוטב עשיר בטעמים, אך עדיין נותנים כבוד לירקות. וכן, תצטרכו להוצאי חתיכותשל למון גראס מהפה. אז מה? זה אוכל אמיתי, לא אוכל אשכנזי ללא טעם.

הזמנו הרבה אוכל והכל היה מושלם, אך אני אציין 2 מנות במיוחד. התום יאם היה מרק חריף וטעים עם טעם עשיר שאי אפשר לתאר. אי אפשר להתאכזב ממנו. הדבר השני היה הפאד תאי. כשאשתי רצתה פאש תאי קצת התבאסתי. כולנו מכירים את המנה הידועה עם רוטב מתוק מדי ושהאטריות נדבקות אחת לשנייה ושאפשר להוציא את כל המנה עם מזלק אחד. לא כאן. המתיקות במנה הגיעה מגזר מגורד ולא סוכר וכל אטרייה הייתה נפרדת מהשני, מה שהפך את המנה הסתמית של פאד תאי למנה מושלמת.
