The sushi is really good, BUT the way they’ve built the menu - you need a Phd to figure out how much you’re going to pay.
All rolls are ‘custom made’ and the price for each ingredient is calculated separately. That’s how I ended up paying 35 nis for a plain Maki roll, just because I didn’t know they added up a cucumber.
I don’t mind paying the price for a good sushi, but that uncertainty added up a lot of tension to the meal. I think that’s why all the negative reviews regarding the price - People are caught by surprise at the bill.
Also, I came during lunch (13:00) on a Wednesday. The place wasn’t packed (4 tables), but I guess there were lots of online orders since the phone didn’t stop ringing. The owner handed out dishes AND took the calls. Seems she was quite stress about it and that atmosphere stressed everyone out. She was really nice, but I didn’t even get a glass of water.
I don’t think it’s legit to charge Iike a fine-dining restaurant (90+ nis for two rolls) and provide that kind of service....
Please provide a decent service, and list the final costs where people can see them. It’s absurd I need a calculator to figure...
