Malucchiffari ristopub — Restaurant in Agira

I continue on what has already been said by other patrons who visited this restaurant before us. 😊

We came across Malucchiffari by sheer coincidence, as sadly Agira in winter barely has (if any) dining options. We went from one option to another on google until we came across Malu, so we decided to give it a try.

The gentleman, who's also the owner and chef, warmly greeted us and took his time to answer queries we had re the menu. He gave us his recommendations and we went with a meat dish and a pasta speciality.

For wine, we chose an Etna red which was dry, cherry and complex. Generally I'm more of a fruity taste but this was properly good.

The meat was medium charred and had a smokey taste to it. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and baked. The pasta was a homemade pumpkin recipe with italian cheese and proper guanciale, which were crispy and not overly oiled. The sauce on its own was a masterpiece, but to top it all off, the pasta was handmade and fresh.

Ristorante/pub nuovissimo, dentro molto semplice e pulito. Io ho ordinato una pasta con gamberi (cotti) e pistacchio, abbastanza buona ma sicuramente possono fare porzioni più generose. Il panino col pesce che ho assaggiato non era male ma forse anche li un po di condimento in più non guastava. Servizio un po lento ma disponibile e accogliente, piacevole. Complessivamente mi sento di mettere 4 stelle perché hanno aperto da poco e possono migliorare molto facilmente con delle accortezze. Alla fine tutto abbastanza ok considerando che i prezzi sono modici. Unica pecca irrimediabile, il ristorante è sulla strada e le macchine intossicano i clienti anche...

Il ristopub Malucchiffari ha un'atmosfera accogliente e amichevole, con un personale attento e cordiale che ha reso il mio pasto ancora più piacevole. Dopo aver esplorato il menù, ho deciso di provare qualcosa di diverso e ho optato per l'hamburger con carne di cavallo. L'hamburger di carne di cavallo era preparato con maestria. La carne era succulenta, tenera e ben condita ed era accompagnata da una varietà di condimenti freschi e gustosi, che ne esaltavano ulteriormente il sapore. Consiglio vivamente il ristopub Malucchiffari a chiunque sia alla ricerca di un'esperienza culinaria autentica...
