Great location - easily accessible by bus and not too expensive by taxi from the train station (and if hiring a car then easy to find right next to a petrol station on a main road!) Lovely, comfortable and spacious bedroom with lots of storage space and a decent bathroom. We definitely needed the A/C and having satellite TV and access to free WiFi meant that we could keep tabs on the London Olympics! The family running the B&B couldn't be more welcoming, polite and helpful. Our Italian was very basic and even with apps and phrase books, we were very grateful that the owner, Massimiliano, appeared to enjoy speaking English. The dining area was al fresco under the vines and the Ligurian food served on our first night was delicious. As a vegetarian, I was impressed with the way it was no trouble for the wife and chef (Cinzia), to think up something using local and seasonal ingredients. Breakfast was substantial and the family were always ready to offer anything else if they had it. (On another note, the restaurant itself was filled every night!) Highlights of our stay at this B&B has to be the use of their bicycles and being able to get a discount, because the B&B called, at a lovely private beach a few kilometres down the road. This was a great perk as we were in the area for an Italian friend's beach wedding and hadn't hired a car. We were able to explore the local town and area without having to pay extra. A big thank you to Massimiliano, Cinzia and their daughter (and her friend) who all helped make our first trip to Italy such an enjoyable experience that we will be hoping to pass through again and if we don't then we will be recommending to our local Italian friends as well as friends and family worldwide....
