Osteria San Nicola — Restaurant in Albi

We had such an amazing experience at Osteria San Nicola honestly, I’m still thinking about it. When we first arrived, we were so excited to eat, but we quickly realized they were close. We were a little bummed at first, but instead of turning us away, the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They still offered to cook for us, and not only that they made us feel like we were old friends coming over for dinner.

The hospitality was on another level. The owners are truly kind, beautiful souls so sweet, so genuine, and easy to communicate with. You could feel how much love and pride they put into their food and their space. It honestly felt like home.

Now let’s talk about the food, wow. Every single starter was a hit. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so comforting. You could tell it was made with care and tradition. Everything was perfectly cooked, rich in flavor!

We ended the meal with a dessert and a cappuccino, and it was the perfect way to finish our lunch. The whole experience felt like a warm hug from the food to the people to the atmosphere. I’m so glad we ended up going, even more so because we got to experience the typical local food, prepared and served with so much heart.

We came here to Albi with my parents. This is my fathers birth place. The owners of this fabulous restaurant opened their doors to us even though they were closed this day. The homemade meals were beyond any meal we had in all of Italy!! They reminded me of my Nonna and literally brought me to tears with memories. Premettendo che eravamo un po' sospettosi essendo il gg di ferragosto.. ma posso dire che il risultato è stato sorprendente! Locale piccino, casareccio facilissimo da raggiungere dalla vicina Catanzaro. È a conduzione familiare. Il menu fisso a soli 20€ ha previsto antipasto calabrese, polpette di carne, polplette di patate, parmigiana, peperoni ripieni,patate fritte, patate e peperoni,linguine ai funghi,scilatelle al ragù, grigliata di carne mista a base di salsiccia, arista, e costoletta, agnello al forno vino, acqua, coca ,torta, sorbetto caffè. Siamo arrivati alle ore 13 siamo andati via alle 17.30. lo staff non si è mai fermato in quanto era tt pieno anche per cena. Non ho sperimentato la pizza sebbene in diversi dicano che è ottima.. vi aggiornerò.. per il momento ha tutta la mia approvazione:) buon appetito :)

2019 Tornavamo per l epifania e il risultato confermav il precedente ..Ma per Pasquetta caliamo un velo pietoso...antipasto minimo e servito a briciole..primi mediocri con scilatell preparati con sugo già pronto, servizio lentissimo entrati alle 13, uscivamo alle 17 , personale poco partecipativo e dal fare stizzoso, infine udite udite conto salato con aumento da 20 a 25€ a persona !!!!.. Mi spiace ma le mie 5 stelle iniziali si...
