We were very lucky to meet the owners/chefs of La Panatella and enjoy a superb meal while staying in Allerona with Villaggio Tours. This was the best meal we had during our whole trip to Italy. We dined at the restaurant in early June, sitting on the beautiful patio and enjoying the view of the Umbrian hillside. The pea flan was one of the best first courses I have ever eaten. Duck breast with local cherries was also exquisite. My daughter loved the pizza, with fresh basil picked right before baking. We barely had room for the wonderful dessert. The menu is only in Italian but the waiter was helpful with explaining the dishes and picking out a delicious glass of local wine. If you are visiting anywhere in Umbria, make a reservation at La Panatella and enjoy an incredible meal in the charming town...

We are on the leading edge of tourists returning to Italy from the US - we are so happy that this place has survived the -pandemic - this restaurant is absolutely wonderful, nestled in a residential cluster in one of the loveliest towns in Umbria! Every dish was special, and the service was thoughtful and professional. Highlights: clever and modern interior decoration, elegant outdoor terrace seating. The filet of beef with lardo and wild spinach was absolutely perfect, the tortelli were exceptional, smoked salmon, rigatoni with fagioli and mussels a shocking inspiration. Desserts luscious! Secret weapon is worth the detour. Gorgeous views from the wall of the town!...

All the dishes were delectable, and I’d call everything “simply elevated”. Both pasta dishes were excellent. Service was also exemplary, with our waiter being very amicable, helpful, and competent. We had eaten in Cortona and Montepulciano, but this tiny discovery in Allerona was the best. If it was in Rome, it would be so popular you would...

The outside deck takes advantage of this with incredible views. The food is stellar. I’d give them a couple of Michelin stars just for the Insalata Mista. All the dishes were delectable, and I’d call everything “simply elevated”. Both pasta dishes were excellent. Service was also exemplary, with our waiter being very amicable, helpful, and competent. Vielleicht war es die größte Entdeckung überhaupt in diesem 3 wöchigen Umbrien-Urlaub. Da Allerona von unserem Ferienhaus (gefühlt) nur einen Steinwurf entfernt war, und in der Realität doch über eine halbe Stunde Fahrt in Anspruch nahm, wollten wir hier einen unserer letzten Abende verbringen. Reservieren sollte man allerdings ein paar Tage im Voraus, da oft alles ausgebucht ist. Und das völlig zu recht!! Atemberaubender Ausblick von der Terrasse, hochwertiges Besteck, Geschirr, Stoffservietten, ledergebundene Speisekarten..alleine das hinterließ bei uns schon einen sehr positiven Eindruck. Und dann kam das Essen. GROẞARTIG Zum Teil gängige Speisen auf völlig neue Art interpretiert und umgesetzt in kleine auch optisch sehr ansprechende Kunstwerke, reine Geschmacksexplosionen. Sorgfältig ausgewählte Zutaten von hervorragender Qualität ließen bei uns keine Wünsche offen. Hinzu kam der sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, der hier und da für ein wenig Spaß sorgte und immer wieder, das aber trotzdem sehr dezent, nach unserem Wohlergehen fragte. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist kaum zu toppen. Könnten wir Michelinsterne vergeben, La Panatella hätte 5 von unserer Familie bekommen. Ein kleiner Spaziergang durch das wunderschöne Allerona rundete den gesamten Abend noch einmal ab. Klare Empfehlung👌🏼♥️

Di stelle ne meriterebbe dieci! Il locale molto accogliente è arredato con eleganza e stravaganza. Il personale gentilissimo e professionale. Il cuoco non prepara cibo ma crea arte! I piatti preparati con cura e attenzione sono ottimi. Il tortino di zucca, castagne e fonduta: sublime; il sapore dei tre componenti resta distinto in bocca ma perfettamente armonioso tra loro. Il crudo di gambero con stracciatella e porcini: paradisiaco; la delicatezza del gambero, la morbidezza della stracciatella e il sapore primitivo del porcino sprigionano un profondo senso di appagamento del gusto. L' amatriciana di polpo particolare, un azzardo molto ben riuscito. Il maiale ai pistacchi buonissimo, per non parlare dell'anatra con cipolla e vermouth roso con cavolo nero croccante una vera delizia. I dolci la punta di diamante, una crema di Vin Santo impossibile da descrivere a parole e un tiramisù che lega tradizione e modernità in modo perfetto. Qualità prezzo decisamente onesto. P.S. Un vecchio luogo comune dice che un locale si giudica dal bagno, bhe, qui siamo al TOP!!
