Trattoria dell'Aquila — Restaurant in Alta Valle Intelvi

We called in advance to let the waiter know that we would be 15 minutes late. When we ordered the waiter was surprised that we ordered a starter and main course(?), which was the first red flag.

We got all the food very quickly so it is likely that the food is prepared well in advance and just warmed up to order. The mixed cut of ham was nice but the salami was clearly off just by the smell alone.

The gnocchi was covered in oil and closer to a mashed potato than a traditional gnocchi. The pizzoccheri was one homogeneous mass of cheese and potato.

The pork smelled like it came straight out of a packet and the rabbit was not tender at all. The sauce was worse than what you can buy pre-made in the supermarket.

I think the management honestly needs to reflect on the quality of their food and service. If you wouldn’t serve it to your family would you truly want to serve it to...

Siamo state recentemente in questo ristorante nella splendida Valle Intelvi e devo dire che è stata un'esperienza memorabile. Fin dall'inizio, siamo state accolte con grande cortesia dal personale, che ha dimostrato una genuina attenzione verso i clienti. L'atmosfera del locale era calda e accogliente, perfetta per godersi un pranzo o una cena rilassante. Splendida terrazza esterna.

Il menù offre una varietà di piatti tipici della tradizione locale, preparati con ingredienti freschi e di alta qualità. Ho avuto l'opportunità di assaggiare diversi piatti, tra cui polenta uncia e polenta funghi preparati con maestria e dal sapore autentico. Ogni portata era un vero e proprio viaggio attraverso i sapori della Valle Intelvi.

Un altro aspetto che mi ha colpito è stata la cura nella presentazione dei piatti, che erano non solo deliziosi ma anche visivamente invitanti. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è decisamente vantaggioso, considerando la qualità degli ingredienti e l'abilità nella preparazione.

In conclusione, consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque si trovi nella Valle Intelvi e desideri vivere un'autentica esperienza culinaria, caratterizzata da cortesia, eccellenti prodotti locali e piatti tipici preparati con passione e competenza. Sicuramente tornerò presto per scoprire altre delizie...

Very nice cosy restaurant. Clearly visible that the restaurant has been operating for many years. The waiter seemed to be also the owner. Food was good and was served out quickly! Table service was something we had to wait for sometimes. We had an antipasti, salad, pizza and pasta and two desserts. All was good. Included is a picture of the dessert cooler.
