La Cala - Porto Cervo — Restaurant in Alzachèna/Arzachena

Stunning location but service must improve to have a fine dining experience. We made a reservation for diner. We were seated in a nice table close to the sea. We watched an amazing sunset while waiting for our meal.

The staff is attentive and dedicated but something happens in their organization that things get confused. We had the ravioli, very good. But we ordered a bottle of red wine and came after the ravioli. We asked for a soft drink and never got it. The wine was excellent!!

We ordered desserts, kind of a chocolate fondant cake. After 35 minutes of waiting, they recognized they made a mistake and it wasn’t in the oven yet. So we ordered 2 Pannacoca. We didn’t like them, they were tasteless, so we didn’t finish them (small dish). They didn’t charge them.

I hope they improve their organization because although some things weren’t as expected the place is lovely, the staff is great and some dishes...

The location is beautiful and the wine selection was impressive. We really enjoyed the mussels and fried calamari, but unfortunately the lobster was poorly cooked, and even the fried potatoes were disappointing. Service was a major letdown — despite having a reservation for 10 people, our table wasn’t ready for another 20 minutes. Ironically, if we had been late ourselves, we would have been charged €50 per person. Throughout the evening, the staff didn’t clear our table properly, leaving us surrounded by dirty dishes. Considering the high prices, the overall experience did not live up to expectations. Hopefully, the service improves in the future, because the setting itself has...

Terrible Experience To begin with, they didn't take the care to clean the chairs before we arrived; they were wet. After that, we were informed that a number of dishes, from starters to main courses, were unavailable, which severely limited our choices. It took about 40 minutes for us to be served, and only then were we told that one of the dishes we ordered was also unavailable. They offered an alternative that, after we accepted it, turned out to be not good as well.. In short, a wasted night during a vacation week. They should have informed us in advance about their limitations, and we would have avoided traveling...
