Osteria Del Baffo — Restaurant in Ancona

We had an exceptional dinner at Osteria del Baffo. Every detail was perfect — from the freshness of the ingredients: sardines and bacalhau to the thoughtful presentation. The highlight of the evening was our waiter, Thomas, a true Italian dandy with impeccable charm and care. He made us feel genuinely welcomed and pampered throughout the meal.

The view overlooking the sea added a magical touch to the experience — peaceful, romantic, and truly special. As a lovely surprise, we were even offered a glass of cognac as a digestif to end the evening on a warm, elegant note.

This place is a true hidden gem. Authentic, refined, and full of character. We can’t wait...

It is now around 2 months after our Italy trip.

We had a beautiful night at this beautiful Osteria. Had a pre course, 2 main dishes, deserts, a well selected wine. The food overall was very good 5/5

What made the evening special was Tomas (the owner) and ots staff. After Dinner and Paying we had great conversations with them, Tomas granted us some sparkling Wine on the house and even gifted us a red wine bottle. It was fantastic to get in touch with the locals and feel the true welcoming Italian culture!

Ho scritto questa mail e non ho mai ricevuto neanche una risposta… forse qui la leggerete Buonasera Le scrivo perché questa sera siamo stati a cena da voi e le mando questa mail perché non mi piace lamentarmi scrivendo vigliacche recensioni su internet. Appena arrivati abbiamo richiesto gentilmente di poterci sedere in un tavolo vista mare e ci è stato risposto che assegnate i tavoli in base all’ordine delle prenotazioni e che tutti vogliono andarsi a sedere a quei tavoli quindi di conseguenza avreste bisogno di una terrazza molto lunga più lunga (la nostra era solo una semplice richiesta, bastava dire che i tavoli erano già stati assegnati) E devo dire che a parte qualche piccolo disguido, dove hanno tentato di togliermi il piatto ancora pieno senza nemmeno chiedermi se avevo finito e richiedendo il pane mi è stato risposto che ce n’era ancora nel sacchetto quindi me lo avrebbe portato solo più tardi, il cibo ha rispettato assolutamente le nostre aspettative. Ma devo dire che la cosa che mi ha innervosito di più è stata quando è stata fatta spostare una coppia già seduta ad un tavolo più grande (perché arrivato gruppo da 4 persone) e fatti accomodare al tavolino rimasto libero vista mare.
