Read moreWhat a strange, random place for an amazing restaurant like this. I will agree with the other reviews and say that the food was truly outstanding. The ragu in particular was incredible. The sweets were some of the best Italian sweets I’ve ever had. I’ll be nit picky and list the negatives: the waiter was very formal and professional but still kind of aggressively upsold us on getting the antipasti degustation, which was delicious but that we didn’t necessarily want to have. Similarly I tried to ask about sweets at the end and he nodded and walked away, but didn’t explain that it was a compulsory degustation course of about six or seven desserts! I had assumed he was going to come back with the menu for us and explain how it worked but the courses just started coming. Maybe there was a language barrier or simple miscommunication but we felt a bit hustled. Also, we were seated next to two guys who were clearly friends with the owner/management, and who were extremely loud and rowdy, and got rowdier as they drank more wine. The rest of the restaurant was lively which I like - I hate eating in funereal silence - but these guys took it too far and it actively undermined our enjoyment of the beautiful food. Anyway, I would absolutely recommend making a reservation if you happen to be in the area, and enjoy the lovely classic...
