For nearly four decades, our gastronomic journey has been intertwined with the principles of the Slow Food movement, and in the heart of Montegrosso, Apulia, Antichi Sapori stands as a beacon of exemplary adherence to these principles. Beware: once you cross its threshold, you may find yourself addicted to a culinary experience like no other. Antichi Sapori's commitment to the Slow Food philosophy is not just a trend—it's a way of life. The restaurant embodies the values of preserving local traditions, savoring seasonal flavors, and cherishing the connection between food and its source. Chef Pietro Zito's garden, a true labor of love, epitomizes this ethos, offering a feast for the senses with every carefully cultivated ingredient. What sets Antichi Sapori apart is not just the complexity of its dishes but their ingenious simplicity. Each plate is a testament to Chef Pietro Zito's deep understanding of the earth and the seasons. The flavors are not masked but allowed to shine in their purest form, creating a culinary experience that resonates with the very essence of each ingredient. Our loyalty to Antichi Sapori is a testament to the enduring appeal of Slow Food done right. For almost 25 years, we have returned, drawn by the magnetic pull of tradition, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Antichi Sapori isn't just a restaurant; it's a love affair with food, flavor, and the soulful connection between the land and the table. In conclusion, Antichi Sapori isn't merely a dining destination; it's a pilgrimage for those seeking the true essence of Slow Food. Once you've experienced the magic within these walls, you may find, as we have, that it's not just a restaurant—it's a way of life. Approach with caution; Antichi Sapori has the power to turn a simple meal into a lifelong love affair with Slow Food. Also this must be said: Service Excellence: A Symphony of Professionalism and Warmth Beyond the culinary delight, the service at Antichi Sapori is a seamless extension of the overall experience. The staff is unfailingly friendly, polite, swift, and professional. Their helpfulness adds an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience, making you feel not just like a guest, but part of a cherished tradition. Last: We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your dedicated work, which made this review possible. Congratulations to Antichi Sapori for their outstanding gastronomic achievement. May the future be as rich in delightful moments and culinary discoveries as the years we have spent here. Best wishes for your ongoing culinary adventures and many more years...

What a strange, random place for an amazing restaurant like this. I will agree with the other reviews and say that the food was truly outstanding. The ragu in particular was incredible. The sweets were some of the best Italian sweets I’ve ever had. I’ll be nit picky and list the negatives: the waiter was very formal and professional but still kind of aggressively upsold us on getting the antipasti degustation, which was delicious but that we didn’t necessarily want to have. Similarly I tried to ask about sweets at the end and he nodded and walked away, but didn’t explain that it was a compulsory degustation course of about six or seven desserts! I had assumed he was going to come back with the menu for us and explain how it worked but the courses just started coming. Maybe there was a language barrier or simple miscommunication but we felt a bit hustled. Also, we were seated next to two guys who were clearly friends with the owner/management, and who were extremely loud and rowdy, and got rowdier as they drank more wine. The rest of the restaurant was lively which I like - I hate eating in funereal silence - but these guys took it too far and it actively undermined our enjoyment of the beautiful food. Anyway, I would absolutely recommend making a reservation if you happen to be in the area, and enjoy the lovely classic...

A Culinary Experience You Have to Taste – Absolutely Delicious! If you're looking for a restaurant that combines seasonal, beautifully crafted dishes with a personal touch and top-notch service – this is the place. Every bite feels like it was made with heart and precision, using fresh ingredients and a serious eye for detail. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are professional and genuinely welcoming, and the food? Wow. Saying it's "super tasty" doesn’t even begin to cover it. Each dish that hits the table feels like an experience in itself. Highly recommend going for the tasting menu – it’s the best way to explore the full range of flavors this place has to offer. Just one tip: come hungry and maybe leave the skinny jeans at home. You’re going to want to eat a lot (and love every...

Friendly, competent, professional staff. We've been greatly served by Giuseppe, and if they are all like him... chapeau to the owner/manager. Food is delicious, local, genuine (and I speak as a local). The appetizers are delicious, they are the refined version of what you get at a local family lunch. We didn't have space for more that a taste of a wonderful primo di orecchiette con le cime di zucchine: perfectly made. The meat and the endless desserts are superb. They bring the essence of the territory. We have been indulged with amuse bouche all the way through, a great touch. Try to believe. It's fairly priced. The wine list is not very long, but again represents the best of the local production.

Esperienza fantastica. Grazie!
