Albergo Ristorante Lago Pineta — Restaurant in Antrona Schieranco

We were told the rooms were 35Euros per night on arriving. Given the location, we decided to stay 2 nights and enjoy the area. The restaurant is very well looked after, and the meals were very good and we'll priced. The accommodation in contrast is "modest" to say the least. 4 walls and a roof, bed and sink. That's it. Toilet and shower are communal, and mostly broken. On checkout we were not charged for the meals we ordered, but rather an arbitrary figure per meal as "guests" of the accommodation. Needless to say we were shocked to be charged 110Euros for the first night (Inc dinner and breakfast) and 130Euros for the second night (Inc breakfast, lunch and dinner). No matter how we tried to rationalise it, the food we ordered plus what turned out to be 35Euros per person for accommodation came nowhere near to these prices. That, plus the hidden extortionate prices of drinks left us feeling ripped off. The 2 stars are for the "priced" menu and good food, plus the location. The accommodation and the rest were entirely a let down. If you want to visit the area as we did, pay pro rata, bring your own drinks from the mini market 15mins away, or stay in the camping cabins 5min walk away. We arrived in the evening and were looking for some place to stay at night. We were told that the cost is 35 EUR per room including breakfast starting at 11 am. And we decided to stay over there.||The room had only one big bed, a wardrobe and a bathroom sink. They even didn't put any towels for us. ||In the morning at 11 am we came to have a breakfast and the worker told us that it was finished. No more breakfast.||Afterwards, when we decided to pay and leave, they charged us 70 EUR but not 35 EUR!!!||I must say that it was in the beginning of June 2018 when the tourist season hasn't started yet. ||In addition, nobody speaks English.
