Our visit to Castello del Poggio was an unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of our trip. We were a group of six and joined the guided tour of the winery, which was both fascinating and beautifully organized. The tour began with a walk through the vineyards, where we learned about the grape varieties and the harvesting process. From there, we were shown where the grapes are pressed and how the wine is made and stored. The lady who guided us was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging — she explained every step with great detail and happily answered all of our questions. It was truly interesting to listen and see how much care and tradition go into every bottle they produce. After the tour, we were taken to a scenic hilltop for the wine tasting — and what a setting it was! The panoramic views were absolutely breathtaking, and as the sun began to set, it felt almost magical. We can highly recommend booking the 16:00 tour, as you get to experience the golden hour and the sunset while enjoying the wines. We tasted five different wines, each one excellent and distinct in character. Alongside the tasting, we were served a small aperitivo, which complemented the wines perfectly. Among our favorites were the Nebbiolo Rosé, the Barbera d’Asti, the Superiore, and the Moscato d’Asti — all of which we couldn’t resist buying to take home. The combination of a well-structured tour, passionate storytelling, delicious wines, and the stunning views made this experience truly special. Castello del Poggio is not just a winery — it’s a place where you can feel the heart and history of Italian winemaking. We can’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting the area.

Had a great time during the wine tour, found some new favourites and we learned a lot about the wine making process and different varieties of wines and grapes🍷🍇

My husband and I went to the Olive Garden for a romantic moment away from the kids. The server brought the wine of the day to the table and it happened to be Castello Del Poggio. I must say..... This is by far the best tasting Moscato I've ever had. It slips down the throat so smooth and I just wanted more. Not for the buzz (wink), but for the taste.

When I found this Moscato at Kroger and Meijer it made me a very happy girl. And the price is so reasonable. Under 11 dollars.

If you like sweet and smooth Moscato this is a brand...
