Meet Antonio, one incredibly passionate chef and owner of @locanda_san_cipriano_ which is in Campagnia, Salerno. Antonio is so special and it was both an honour to eat his food and talk to the man himself about biodiversity, the history of food and even better to see his secret stash of his own 15 year old balsamico that he is making in the style of Modena where he once worked. Outside Antonio’s restaurant is an electric car charger that you can use for free when you join him for dinner. Antonio also has a food truck that was designed by a friend in Rome that he outfitted himself. The specialties here are baccala and the decision was tough. We opted for one with Sicilian roots made so simply with cod and raisins. It sounds crazy but my goodness it was so wicked. Antonio then offer us a pasta made with crunchy sweet peppers and bread crumbs with his own olive oil. The salad was simple but with the most amazing tomatoes also from both Sicily and Napoli. This is a #roadlesstravelled place but it should be more travelled and a destination. I can’t wait to go back. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more...

We highly recommend making a dinner reservation in advance, as the restaurant fills up quickly in the evening.

We had a wonderful stay with our camper. The overnight spot was free and even included water and electricity. We had originally planned to stay for just one night, but after such a fantastic dinner, we happily decided to stay for a second.

The veal fillet and cod dishes are a must-try – they are the restaurant's specialties. The service was excellent. One of our servers spoke English very well, and the owner, Antonio, was incredibly helpful, giving us great recommendations for the area. We will...

Male male male.
