Mantic Restaurant — Restaurant in Atina

A disappointment is an understatement. Two of the younger female staff made our visit so unpleasant….. like a visit to Fawlty Towers with rudeness on a par with Basil Fawlty. We tried to find humour in it but actually I was left feeling very upset. Yes, the smirks, eye rolls, mistaken orders not corrected. The food was very good as always, and came out of the kitchen swiftly. But we were ignored for an hour trying to just get a wine list!! When we arrived we were hissed at for our choice of water …..and they took the wineglasses away. There was one waitress who shone out against the others. She brought our wine bottle to the table …. And then had to go off to find glasses as they had been taken away. She kindly came back with an ice bucket 5 minutes later which was by now unexpected but a nice touch…… she returned a smile too!! I won’t be going again any time in the foreseeable future. There is a fabulous new restaurant new restaurant not far away where they know how things are to be done. A smile and curtesy...

They have seating inside and outside and because we were sat outside and they were very busy inside we got a bit forgotten and had to wait longer than anybody else however we didn't really mind as we really enjoyed ourselves. We've had fritto misto for antipasti which was very nice. The waiter had a very good knowledge of wines, not only local ones. He brought us one to taste and because I didn't like it, he took it away without a fuss, and brought a different one to try. My daughter had a pizza with salami/pepperoni, which the waiter said is not spicy, but it was for her and so she struggled to eat it, but I realize it's a very personal thing. For me it was delicious. The food wasn't amazing, but it was good, the only disappointment was virtually no experience with staff as they were all busy inside. We waited for a long time for someone to take a payment but eventually we left the cash on the table and left the restaurant without...

aperitivo e cena per due persone con un amica.

Frequento saltuariamente questo locale da qualche più di qualche anno, l'aperitivo è sempre di buona qualità! questa sera nello specifico, c'erano da mangiare grissini e qualche tramezzino molto apprezzati! con un pezzo di pizza margherita a persona! tutto ottimo!

ci siamo spostati nella sala per cenare e come benvenuto ci sono stati serviti delle mini frittelle molto buone ed apprezzatissime! abbiamo scelto per la nostra Cena, un antipasto di salmone affumicato (condiviso) e un risotto con zucca e guanciale croccante e ricotta; che è a malincuore stato veramente poco apprezzato per eccessiva pesantezza; risultava al gusto troppo pesante e stancante perché troppo grasso e poco bilanciato come un Risotto dovrebbe risultare! il sapore era anche buono ma risultando così pensante, mi ha lasciato un po' deluso! In ogni caso buona la qualità degli ingredienti

abbiamo concluso con il dolce, lo yogurt che a mio dire di sapore ottimo, ma eccessivamente liquido e difficile da mangiare senza farlo...
