We went to the Bella Vista today for lunch and we have to say that it was most certainly not a good experience. The older gentleman who served us and may be an owner was most unfriendly, surly and unhelpful . We asked for bruschette but we were told that we couldn’t have it because the bread was 2 days old. However, he put a basket of bread on the table later so we were left wondering if this was the 2 day old bread . I then asked for some olive oil and salt and a plate to dip the bread in. That never appeared at all. My cotolette was dry and not so enjoyable. The gentleman was surly throughout and behaved as if he didn’t care about us. No pleasantries, no enquiry as to whether we had enjoyed our meal. To round this experience up, our bill was €45 and the coperto was €7.50. Was this for the 2 day old bread which we didn’t eat because we were never given our oil ? We felt this coperto charge was excessive . Needless to say we did not leave a tip which we always do. The pasta was excellent, we enjoyed the ravioli and fettucine, one in a tomato sauce, one in a meat sauce, both were excellent! The veal scaloppini with lemon was extremely tender and flavorful, one of the best we have ever had! Everything from the greeting at the door, to the full service of the staff was beyond wonderful! Il posto ha il vantaggio di essere abbastanza centrale, dietro la piazza e con un bell'affaccio sulla vallata circostante (da qui il nome dell'albergo ristorante). Tutto abbastanza buono per quanto riguarda il mangiare, soprattutto per quel che riguarda i primi (soprattutto i ravioli con ricotta e spinaci conditi con burro e salvia veramente molto buoni). Il locale è un po' datato negli arredi, ma la nota dolente sono i bagni che ad un primo impatto hanno un odore veramente sgradevole (nonostante l'apparente pulizia) dovuta alla muffa sulle pareti.
