My family and I stopped at the "Il Roscio" for lunch during our trip to Tuscany. We were expecting a 100% homemade Italian meal, and the staff fulfilled the expectations! We knew the place from the tv show "Camionisti in Trattoria", and we were curious to try it out.
Here's the experience in short:
Atmosphere & Place 8: The "il Roscio" is an authentic Italian trattoria from any angle you observe. Due to its proximity to the motorway, the place is a good stop for truck drivers. Hence, the parking is not a problem at all! The mise-en-place, the furniture, the TV, everything is in the place where it should be. Miles away from high standards but 100% genuine and driven by love for the tradition. Restrooms could have been more curated, and providing a changing room is always respectful to the clients.
Menu 7 ½: Meat lovers can have a great experience here. The cold cuts plate is just a dream, and the colossal grill sets the expectations to another level. The lady orchestrating the BBQ shows her professionalism without any room for interpretation. We tried the "arrosticini" and the grilled "salsiccia", which were perfectly cooked. On top of that, the handmade pasta dishes are delicious. I tried the "cacio & pepe", my son had the simple but fantastic "pasta la sugo", and they were yummy. Only one remark about the "porcini" mushrooms, I found them too oily.
Service 8: The staff is friendly and efficient. They served my son immediately, knowing how tedious a toddler can be.
Bill 6: Maybe because of the tv show, I was expecting a cheaper bill. But I won't complain, the price was absolutely in line with the...

As soon as we were seated & watched the plates of food passing by & saw the open grill we knew we were going to have a great meal. The meat was fantastic, great cuts, beautifully cooked & extremely generous. Contorni, perfectly seasoned & delicate. We had no room for dessert, an espresso was enough. Bustling atmosphere, popular with Italians & well deserving of their award. Like many great Italian meals the restaurant is unassuming in appearance, located just off the motorway but some of the best meat...

Entrambi i piatti erano ottimi 👍🏻. Laura e Stefano 10...
