Epoq Restaurant & Wine — Restaurant in Avola

It's a nice place in the city center, well organized and the service was quick enough, but! I gave it three stars for two big reasons, first the food was okay, the taste was about average, my problem was the food-money ratio ,the portions were pretty small and the taste as been said before was okay. The second reason I took one more star down was that as a tourist in Sicily and obviously lack of knowledge it was a bit frustrating I received a plate to my table without a minimum of explanation. Our waiter did her job, but nothing more, I would have expected a more friendly one for such a place and it can definitely change the experience. Very nice potential, but a bit lousy...

Agree prices are higher than deserving. (New prices covered old ones with stickers on menus.) Pasta dishes without seafood very good but not unusually so. Agree calamari frite was very salty but we enjoyed it. Secondi seafood wait time was over 30 minutes after antipasti and when arrived - overcooked and inedible. Never had tuna so dry. Sent back after two bites. Had to argue to remove it from bill. We are restaurant workers so this isn't our modus operandi. Something not right or they're still figuring something out....

Ce restaurant est tout simplement exceptionnel, il ce trouve au centre de la ville dans une petite rue en face de l'église mère de Avola ils proposent une cuisine typique Sicilienne, le chef est venu nous expliquer ses plats et sa façon de les cuisiner, le personnel est super sympathique, serviable et très proffetionnel. Ce fut une expérience culinaire, si vous en avez l'occasion c'est à ne pas manquer, je suis certain que vous ne le regretterez pas et en plus les prix sont plus que abordables. Pour nous c'était une soupe de poissons (pêche du jour) très copieux. Encore félicitations au chef ! Juste un bémol, la place de parking en bout de terrasse vers l'église qui ne devrait pas exister, une voiture s'y est mise et on a du supporter les gaz d'échappement du véhicule, j'ai fais remarquer à son conducteur que ça été désagréable celui-ci l'a mal pris en plus.
