My partner & I had a lovely experience here! We went in a bit nervous how to ask for all the things from the deli & a panini each in Italian. A lovely young man helped us out in English, took the time to tell us about the different types of cheeses & meats they had and then we wanted sandwiches but weren't sure what do get. He offered to make us the traditional Avola panini which was (we think) mackerel and a chopped sauce they make fresh every morning. My partner loved it, and I'm a veggie so he made me a fresh tasty caprese. The shop is beautiful, with lots of lovely Sicilian ingredients. We bought some pasta, chocolate and honey to take home with us. Highly recommend this place. One of our favourite experiences we had on our trip. We didn't catch the gentleman's name...

The only place in Avola to buy a sandwich! There was a variety of fresh bread, cheese and meats so we could create an entirely bespoke order, and the staff were happy to offer advice on flavour combinations. Everyone was friendly and patient with our English and limited Italian! The whole experience was really pleasant - nothing to fault. Also possible to buy local store cupboard goods...

Un posto magico. Quando si entra si ha un tuffo nel passato, quello delle cose vere in cui l'immaginazione e la realtà si fondono e dove odore e sapore si percepiscono immediatamente. Qui si sentono quei bei odori di pane fresco e affettati vari che ti fa venire l'acquolina in bocca. Quell'atmosfera che nel supermercato non esiste non solo perchè coperto dalla plastica ma perchè non potrà mai avere questa qualità e non potrà mai attivare quel meccanismo di piacere al primo morso!.Consiglio di andarci con i vostri figli per far vivere anche a loro quel bel momento della preparazione di un panino sano fatto con tanto amore. La signora che serve al bancone è pronta a realizzare panini per tutti i gusti. Complimenti! Eccellente qualità ed...
