Extremely Disappointing – Overrated and Severely Overpriced!
We visited this restaurant after reading many glowing reviews, with a rating of 4.7 no less. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. There was no warm welcome — in fact, we felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. We were directed to a table in an uninviting manner and felt more or less forced to sit down rather than being offered options. As a steakhouse, you expect quality meat and expert preparation. Sadly, this couldn’t be further from the truth. What was supposed to be an entrecôte was nothing short of a disaster: thin, poorly cooked, and aggressively salty — with salt being the only seasoning used, and far too much of it. To make things worse, over half the portion consisted of pure fat. Truly unacceptable for a restaurant that positions itself as a steak specialist. Side dishes were equally disappointing. The potatoes and grilled vegetables were bland and uninspired, lacking any depth of flavor or care in preparation. When we politely mentioned our concerns to the staff, our feedback was met with indifference. Neither the chef nor the owner made any effort to inquire what had gone wrong — a clear sign that they are either unwilling or uninterested in offering a quality experience. It was off season (may) and the lounge was very empty with a cold atmosphere. I imagine it would be very different in season. Pour Paris, l’expérience culinaire est exceptionnelle. Une viande d’excellente qualité, une prestation complète (entrée, plat, accompagnements), le tout dans un cadre élégant et un service irréprochable. Le prix, au regard du plaisir offert, est tout à fait justifié.
