Belmare Maronti Beach di Ernesto Mattera — Restaurant in Barano d'Ischia

We arrived early evening on public holiday, being the only people walking along the beach. Ernesto snd his team welcomed us wholeheartedly.

The Bruschetta and the Salad Caprese were both generous in size and very tasty.

I had a Linguine Vongole (with clams, garlic, tomato) which was again a large portion, perfectly cooked al dente, with plenty of clams.

I really recommend them...

Siamo andati per cena in questo ristorante, che di giorno offre servizio bar e ristorazione sulla spiaggia. Il menù è discretamente ampio e diversificato. Abbiamo cenato in 5, scegliendo 2 antipasti misti (abbondanti anche se un po' anni '80), 2 orate in crosta di sale, scialatielli ai frutti di mare, scialatielli cozze, limone e caciocavallo e tagliatelle cozze, gamberi, zucchine, zafferano e birra. I primi 4 erano molto buoni, purtroppo le tagliatelle sono risultate amare per via del retrogusto dato dalla birra (dal gusto amaro quasi una stout..) e del tutto prive di gamberi, dimenticati dallo chef a detta del proprietario, il quale non ha aggiunto neanche una parola nel portare via il piatto (che so, un mi dispiace ad esempio). In sostituzione abbiamo ordinato un crostino al forno con crudo e mozzarella per fare in fretta, peccato sia arrivato dopo mezz'ora, dopo 3 solleciti, freddo e umido di mozzarella. Il proprietario non ci ha addebitato il primo né il crostino, ma il servizio è stato lento, raffazzonato e poco...
