Gusto Secondo Me — Restaurant in Barberino Tavarnelle

My partner and I dined here on the last evening we stayed at Castello di Fulignano. We were greeted by the owner who was incredibly kind and welcoming, and who served us the entire evening. She was incredibly attentive and explained the dishes with care and detail.

The food here is stunning and creative, with different flavours and sauces that complemented the dishes perfectly. The desert (tiramisu) was made in house and was delicious.

Separate from the dishes purchased in the photos below, we had tastings of their lovely in house bread with olive oil. To finish, we were given this small liqueur to finish the meal.

While on the more expensive dinners we had in Italy, it was hands down one of the most impressive places I’ve eaten in Italy, and the best service I’ve experienced generally. Incredible, local, and impressive spot worth supporting. We will definitely return when we are...

Wonderful luncheon- so excited we ‘found’ this restaurant on our day trip to San Gimignano from Florence / Firenze!!! Husband found on google maps based on reviews, restaurant opened promptly at 12:30. Lovely interior, lots of seating. Appetizer, wine and entrees all top notch, wonderful tasting, extraordinarily delicious. Two in our group have seafood allergies 🤧 so we were unable to choose many of the dishes, but the gyoza 🥟 with duck and pork were spectacular. Desserts we were presented were great, both visually and taste-wise. Best meal we have had on our trip, previously in Paris, Munich, Salzburg, Venice. Place seems to be not spectacular,located in industrial zone,but it is not true if you go inside.First great service-wondeeful women trying to make you feel like at home,then delicous homemade food-amazing! We have eaten carpacio with marinated egg and tartufo..delicious.Then homemade pasta with meet-prepared on request (!) -my husband and me sth similar to ravioli with duck...heaven! Dessert was as well nice surprise-bananas,rasberies with choclate icecream and strawberries icecream.nothing more add-just go and taste!
