Bar cafe Ristorante Pizzeria Baunei — Restaurant in Baunei

It's quite sad that I have to give such a bad Review to a place where I really appreciate the food... 😔 we went there the both nights that we overnighted in Baunei, the first evening was so good and also the Team so welcoming and deligent that we decided to come back, even if we we're recommend to try another place. Never mind, food here is amazing, totally worthy, price also totally fair! The Service, as I said, the night of the 15th was quite good, fast and we really appreciate it. The 16th of September 2023 it was a totally disaster, it took us close to 3 hours to end our dinner, because, at least 2 hours were for delivery of service, I wanted 25 minutes just for my dessert, a tiramisu (it was amazing by the way) and even in the beginning, after sitting and kindly asking for it, it took 15 or 20 minutes so that someone would serve us the water. Meanwhile, not a sorry or a polite smile... the youngs were even arrogant, its such a pitty!! 😄😄😄 Also, after the answer of the restaurant, emotionally attached and quite unprofessional, I don't think that it was possible to say whatever it was when the team was already so unfriendly and distant. I can totally understand when a place is overcrowded or also when something goes not so well in the kitchen, but it's part of the service of the waitress to speak with the guests and explain the situation!!! By the way, "Thank you" is an expression that I use from the beginning until the end, even if the service doesn't go as I wished 😉 I believe that we should always show empathy but sometimes enough ist enough. And, as I said, it was really a shame that it ended with a bad impression. Wish you all the best and hope you can...

Terrible Experience at Bar Cafe Ristorante Pizzeria Baunei

My visit tonight with my wife to Bar Cafe Ristorante Pizzeria Baunei was nothing short of a disaster. I was shocked by the complete lack of professionalism from both the owner and his staff. It seems the manager thinks it's acceptable to have children, who are clearly young teenagers, waiting tables. These kids have no clue what they’re doing, and their behavior reflects that.

After waiting a staggering 40 minutes for our order, we asked one of the young waitresses about our drinks. Instead of providing any assistance, she laughed and casually mentioned "it’s coming" before going back to her phone, showing zero interest in doing her job. This type of service is a disgrace, especially for visitors who are not from Sardinia.

The manager and his staff are not just unprofessional; they are outright rude and ignorant. It’s baffling that a place like this is even in business. If you value your time and money, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences...

Il 29 luglio di passaggio per Baunei,decido di fermarmi al Caffè Baunei Centro per mangiare una pizza. Il gestore gentilmente mi avvisa che a mezzogiorno la pizzeria è chiusa. Quindi ordino un primo al ristorante, una cosa semplice semplice, dei malloreddus ai formaggi sardi. Nella mia testa il piatto richiesto doveva apparire più o meno come una pasta ai quattro formaggi o nella peggiore delle ipotesi ad una in bianco col pecorino...come dicevo, una cosa di poco impegno. Viene portato in tavola un piatto di maloreddus affogati nella panna liquida da cucina, con sopra una misera spolverata di formaggio grattugiato, probabilmente già confezionato. Dei formaggi sardi nemmeno l'ombra, dei malloreddus freschi manco a parlarne (era pasta di semola di grano duro essiccata di "fresco" quindi preparato da poche ore, non c'era traccia). Preciso che mio nonno era sardo, come del resto la metà della mia famiglia e penso di saper riconoscere certe cose... Preso dalla fame e dallo sconforto, traggo in salvo i poveri maloreddus, mentre la panna liquida viene prosciugata grazie al provvidenziale aiuto di tre fette di pane (ribadisco 3) contenute nel cestino che non avevo chiesto ma che probabilmente faceva parte del coperto. I malloreddus affogati sono costati 7.50 euro, il pane 2 euro ma non sono sicuro che fosse comprensivo del coperto. Birra e caffè buoni...l'Ichnusa è sempre una garanzia. Se il gestore fosse in dubbio sulla personale competenza nella ristorazione, sappia che ho frequentato (e terminato senza problemi) l'istituto alberghiero e per anni ho lavorato in cucina come cuoco responsabile dei primi piatti. Penso che un orrore simile non sia mai finito sul tavolo...
