Chi Ghinn — Restaurant in Bee

Wow. ||After spending a couple of weeks in Provence, we had only a short time to get to Zurich to catch our flight. Our first inclination was to drive as far as we could and stay by the side of the road, until our French hosts booked this incredible hotel for us. We were not prepared for our experience, truly the best of our trip! ||||Our GPS guided us up the back road to Bee, a scary little winding track. We weren't aware that there was a much more traveled and easier route. But it made our arrival even better after teetering on the edge of the road. The parking was a little difficult, only because we had to walk a bit, but we were greeted by the owner/chef, and our "night on the road" turned into a romantic, delicious, luxurious treat. We didn't want to leave!||||The hotel sits high above Lake Maggiore with a stunning view. There are just a six rooms, and they all face the water. We had a big and beautiful room, simple, quiet, clean and well-decorated, with big windows that opened to a stunning view of Lake Maggiore; a fabulous gourmet dinner, beautifully prepared and presented; breakfast on the terrace above the lake, and the very best of service. Any visitor would feel that he had stepped back into another era.||We appreciated...

The Locanda Chi Ghinn is truly spectacular, both in terms of service and location. The view overlooking Lake Maggiore is simply stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautifully furnished and clean and the location, nestled below the village church is enchanting. Although I have to agree with others that the parking is not great.||||However, then there's the restaurant. My family and I (there were four of us, two being small children) had the most delicious meal as the sun sank into the lake. We are vegetarian / vegan and they accommodated our requirements without question. Beautifully presented with local wine to match. All in all, I'd say this place offers a great experience, epitomising the very essence of good Italian...
