We visited this place on our last evening on Como trip. And it saved the whole trip. During our stay we visited 4.5 and up places with lots of reviews but non of them got as good as this place. If other places in Bellagio are 4.5+ this gem deserves a 7. Food was superb all along the way starting with starters, main, siders and finishing on deserts. We got delicious non alcoholic drinks. We also asked if it’s possible to get pasta with tomato sauce… yes for our son :) … and we got it without problem, which was not so obvious in any other places we visited and we were often stuck with almost no options. Every parent knows the struggle. Last but not least… service. All smiling, but in this kind natural way, nothing superficial. Timing of serving dishes was perfect. Bread, starters along with pasta for the kid, then we got time to eat our mains without any hustle, than deserts and coffee just as we finished last bit of great desserts. We agreed that everything we ordered was great and I’m more than sure rest of the menu is the same. Greetings from Michal,...
Read moreI went as a solo walk-in, and arrived for an early lunch to find them setting up for a substantial birthday group. Despite this I was assured that they could accommodate me and given a table in the nicer front portion of the restaurant.
Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and after I ordered a drink I was brought an appetizer of bread, cheese and meats free of charge.
Despite the language barrier (my Italian is poor) and gradually arriving group of 30+, the staff were patient and pleasant with me.
What followed was, and I must stress this point, The Best steak I have ever had, (an accolade I had previously attributed to a fine dining institution in Paris).
It was not a cheap meal, the whole thing (steak, side and beer) setting me back just shy of €60. But there are cheaper options available (mains around €20) and the quality was well worth the price.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to splash out a little for a fantastic meal in a pleasant...
Read moreOsteria da Lu&Ca completely stole my heart. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was being welcomed into someone’s home.
The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a true Italian soul.
The food? Absolutely unforgettable. Every dish was made with love and care.
I had the fiorentina, so full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Even the bread and olive oil were amazing!
What really makes this place special is the people. They took the time to explain the dishes and even shared a bit about the local ingredients. It didn’t feel like just a meal—it felt like a real experience.
If you're near Como and want authentic Italian food in a place that feels genuine and full of heart, don’t miss it.
I will remember this meal for a long time. Thank you for making our...
