Calypso Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Belvedere Marittimo

Wonderful experience for first time in Italy. The food was excellent !! We wanted to order a second plate of pasta but kitchen was closed. The owner invited us back for lunch the next day. The owner was so friendly and pleasant from the beginning, he sat with us at the end of the meal and it was a pleasure meeting him. Good energy and very happy pleasant atmosphere. We ordered several appetizers which were all very good tasting. We will be coming back...

I had the tastiest fish ever! It was fish of the day (not something expensive and fancy). However the taste was through the roof. Half of the compliment probably goes to olives, oil, and tomatoes that come together. Anyways, very very tasty.

By the way, the staff speaks English very well, which is rare in this region. Have a good portion of dishes...

È vero che la prossimità al mare aiuta, ma qui è tutto l'insieme a decretare il successo e non solo la qualità del cibo servito. Andiamo con ordine. Siamo a Belvedere marittimo, e precisamente sulla passeggiata lungomare da dove sedendo ai tavoli all'aperto si può ammirare un tramonto davvero meraviglioso. Accoglienza ottima, professionalità al top. Si vede che non c'è improvvisazione, anzi. Ovviamente il fiore all'occhiello qui è il pesce, cucinato con sapienza senza snaturare minimamente le materie prime, anzi, esaltandone lì dove possibile. Antipasti crudi e cotti da provare, ed è lì che la qualità salta fuori. Primi buoni e secondi (per chi ci arriva) sapientemente cucinati e presentati. Insomma, tappa obbligata per chi passa da queste parti considerando anche i prezzi più che abbordabili specie per la qualità...
