Il Castello Ristorante — Restaurant in Biddeputzi/Villaputzu

First time at il Castello today for me and my wife and the experience has been great. It was not easy to choose among such a broad menu, but we eventually chose 2 starters (octopus and red tuna carpaccio) , two main courses (home made spaghetti with shrimps and pistachios, goat spezzatino) and eventually a dessert (caschettas with ricotta and honey). All the food was delicious and well presented. The service was also excellent, with all the waiters being very attentive and kind (special thanks to Alessandro!). After dinner, we had a pleasant walk outside in the peaceful garden, as recommended by Mrs Lisa - which completed our nice experience there. Location is ok, looks like one of these old days hotel not caring about the passing of time. It wants to be authentic and traditional but it s not able to do so in a good way. All food was avarage, including the sheep Ragu. The only dish that stands out (form what we tried) was the pasta with shrimps bisque and the seadas . Price also inflated. Staff was gentle...
