Trattoria Ongarato al Pessaretto — Restaurant in Borgoricco

This little restaurant is very pleasing to the eye. Today we were the only customers, so it was private dining! This is a family run business. The father waits on tables, the soon is chef and the mum helps out in the kitchen. We were in 3. We skipped starters and first courses and ordered a main course of fish with a side of fried courgette flowers and fried potatoes in their skins. The batter was exceptionally good, very dry not at all greasy. The sweets were also very nice and nicely presented. The father/owner was very affable and told us about the history of the restaurant. Ambiente caldo ed accogliente, abbiamo cenato in terrazza accompagnati da un sottofondo di musica jazz impeccabile ed illuminati da luci soffuse di candele e lampade retrò. Il servizio è genuino e la gentilezza è di casa da Ongarato, che di trattoria conserva solo il nome... la cucina delicata e ricercata di piatti preparati con materie prime stagionali di ottima qualità elaborate dalla maestria di Alberto e del suo staff che riescono ad esaltarne i sapori con abbinamenti appaganti tutt'altro che scontati. Esperienza fantastica! Ci sono stato per il matrimonio di una coppia di amici, per cui il locale era aperto solo per noi. Dagli antipasti al dolce è stato tutto di altissima qualità, sia per i prodotti utilizzati che per la preparazione dei piatti. Ottima anche la scelta dei vini abbinati ai piatti.
