Il Frantoio — Restaurant in Boville Ernica

I was here only for a wedding pre-gathering. The antipast was amazing, but I didn't get to eat dinner. We had some pizza but just what was brought out, nothing specific. The balsamic glaze you can get to basically put on everything is the first thing I ordered when I got back to the states. I really should have made the trip back on another day to try a dinner. This place is very cozy but enormous inside. The waiters were all very nice, patient and helpful. The wine was so good that we bought some bottles to bring back with us.

If we travel to this part of italy again, this place is on our map to revisit.

The Best restaurant we ate at in Italy. Authentic Italian food cooked and prepared by local Italian people. Restaurant building is over 500 years old and used to be a small olive oil factory. Capitati casualmente  in questo bel ristorante situato all'ingresso dello splendido borgo di Boville Ernica,  non posso che confermare uno degli assiomi della legge di Murphy, ovvero che "tutte le grandi scoperte avvengano per caso, o per sbaglio" 😁. Si è mangiato tanto e  bene (ottime le pappardelle al cinghiale e la tagliata),  in una cornice familiare ed amichevole e a dei prezzi onestissimi  e veramente concorrenziali!! Peraltro rispettando il distanziamento e le accortezze dovute alle imposizioni per la nota emergenza sanitaria in atto. Vorrei inoltre sottolineare la grande onestà e disponibilità dei proprietari manifestata in occasione del ritrovamento di un oggetto di grande valore affettivo che mia moglie aveva smarrito nel locale. Ritrovato sotto ai tavoli dove avevamo pranzato, si sono prodigati per informarci e farcelo riavere. È stata così preziosa opportunità di tornare la settimana successiva e di riassaporare la lora eccellente cucina, questa volta nell'altro locale che possiedono in centro paese, l'altro Frantoio, ristorante più piccolo ed elegante, ancor più curato  nelle portate e ricercato nel menu, dove si è mangiato benissimo sempre a dei prezzi veramente competitivi, seguiti dal gentilissimo e simpatico proprietario.  E sicuramente ci torneremo ancora......
