We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening just to have a cocktail and got massively ripped off!! I was alone with my two daughters (age 3yrs and age 5yrs) I had a spritz, the girls shared a small bottle of water and we had a platter of salumi. The bill came to €25!! They charged me €2 cover charge for each person (even my 3YO daughter!) and we were only having an aperitivo. Such a shame that someone would take advantage like that in what would otherwise be a charming little town. Well the next night we went to the other cafe in Brienno and had a spritz and a bottle of water and it came to a grand total of €3!! ... really, it’s very ignorant behavior by these owners of Caffe e Pizza because when I go back to Brienno I will find somewhere else to take my business. Argegno is only 5 minutes away and there are many more...

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I can honestly say it’s a hidden gem in this small town. The pizza is absolutely fantastic—perfectly crisp crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, which makes all the difference.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. They go above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a great experience.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is the place to go for a delicious, authentic pizza....

I’ve been coming to this pizza place in Brienno for years, first with my grandma, and now mostly with friends, and it’s become such a special part of my time by Lake Como. The staff are truly amazing. They’re always so kind and welcoming, and honestly, they’re a big reason why I love coming back.

And the pizza? Occhio di Leone is my go-to every time. It’s honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had, full of flavour, perfectly made, just unreal.

This place feels like a home away from home. Great people, incredible food, and memories I’ll always cherish.

Thankyou always!! See...

Nice restaurant with top floor open air terrace. It’s very popular so be sure to make a reservation. The staff is most friendly despite the work pressure. Prices are most reasonable! The pizza’s were a bit disappointing. The dough didn’t seem the be fully risen, maybe the cook was under pressure to deliver because the served the pizza’s very quickly despite all the customers. Could be that it was just bad luck. But even the tiramisu was not at par with earlier experiences. So I guess you shouldn’t raise your expectations too high despite the 4+ ratings

Travelling as a vegan in a different country can be difficult. My advice is that marinara pizza ( most bases are vegan, marinara is just base and tomato sauce), and a side salad. You can also ask for various topping to be added to the marinara. The pizza itself is cooked to order and super fresh. The staff are very nice, helpful and obliging too. The staffs English was also very good. Prices were very good too, around €50 for two pizzas, two salads, fries and drinks. An added bonus is the view over lake Como, its simply stunning.
