Trattoria la Querce — Restaurant in Bucine

If I could give this zero stars I would. Firstly ordered the bread with dips to start. Was served soggy bread with tinned tomatoes on top. Had the pasta and steak for mains. The pasta was supposed to be bolognaise, it was literally swimming in grease and wax quite clearly not fresh. The steak was ordered medium rare but came our barely seared by the pan and raw. When eating we then checked the reviews for this place and noticed everyone saying they'd been over charged. Asked for the bill... was told to pay at the till. From reading the reviews we worked our what our bill should be and low and behold there was an extra 10 euros on there. We asked for a break down and was told it was for the plates, knifes and forks. Apparently this is standard in tuscany but after eating out evrrrday for 2 weeks in lots of areas of tuscany, this was the first time we'd been charged for knife and forks. By far the worst food I'd ever eaten. I'm confused how this place has got ratings so high....

SCORTESI. Purtroppo devo fare una recensione negativa a causa del servizio nervoso e discordante. Non mi era mai capitato di andare in un ristorante e ordinare con l'ansia perche la cameriera si innervosiva e rispondeva male perche non riusciva forse ad utilizzare il tablet? Abbiamo ordinato 9 antipasti per vederne arrivare 5 per 15 persone,dicendo "poi se avete ancora fame vi porto anche gli altri"..poi abbiamo ordinato la tagliata,ognuno la sua, e sono arrivati i piatti con 3 o 4 fettine di tagliata, porzione secondo me molto scarsa confronto agli altri ristoranti, (e il prezzo era uguale) ,dicendo che ce ne aveva fatta però una in piu per sbaglio mettendola nel mezzo del tavolo e nel conto senza che l avessimo chiesta.. insomma ha preso l ordinazione per poi fare come voleva lei.. qualcuno si è lamentato ed è stato rimproverato dalla stessa cameriera davanti a tutti anche in malomodo.. al momento del pagamento ha scritto menù fisso senza specificare cosa avevamo preso e senza che fosse un menù fisso 45 euro a testa..(il menù fisso in cui c era antipasto,primo, secondo,dolce e caffè costava 35) mi sono sentita presa un po in giro sinceramente.. secondo me per quello che abbiamo mangiato e per essere in una trattoria abbiamo speso troppo.. mezzo antipasto (2 crostini, due fettine di salamino e una di prosciutto) mezza tagliata con 4 patatine a parte,mezzo dolce mi sembra un po eccessivo per una trattoria.. insomma esperienza pessima, non ci tornerò.. Ambiente semplice, un po di cattivo odore all entrata tipo di terme e acqua solfurea, ma spariva arrivati al tavolo ..tuttavia la qualità del cibo era buona anche se la poca tagliata che mi è toccata era molto nervosa (anche lei come la cameriera), il...

One the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. We were a group of 16 people, we struggled from the 1rst moment to the last with the waitress, dozens of errors and more than 1h30 to get the plates. Even better secundi piatto arriving before antipasti, missing orders and so on. Last but not least, more than 70 eu overcharge at the end, witout negociation possible, refusing the take out the items of the tab. The food was eatable but many undercooked pasta, overcooked meat and burnt tartuffo dishes. I will never go back to...
