The hotel was chosen for a professional meeting. However for various reasons I would not recommend it for such a purpose. First, it is difficult to find, even for navigation systems. The indications at the road are just far to small to be easily perceived. ||Second, the meeting room was not a meeting room, but most probably a small wine tasting room next to the restaurant. It was close to impossible to set up there the workshop equipment and totally impossible to move and have interaction - room too small and table too big. ||Under such suboptimal conditions it was not really an additional disturbance that from time to time somebody walked in to fetch bottles of wine needed in the restaurant. They really should not offer themselves for meetings if they do not have adequate space available. I do discourage anybody who wants to go there for a professional gathering which is not primarily dedicated to wining and dining. ||As for the rooms, mine was large but very dark. With insufficient light it was not possible to do work in the room. Other rooms were in a separate building and my colleagues did not express themselves enthusiastic about their quality neither. ||Overall, an unpleasant experience...
Read moreAt no time was there anyone on Reception ! On arrival my husband had to find the kitchens and ask someone for our room key. Our passport was taken for the details to be taken, how very old fashioned. Our room was nice but there were ants literally all over the floor and bedside tables. After dinner we were told quite rudely that we had to pay|Now ! as there was no-one on reception in the morning (nor at any other time, frankly!) My husband had the presence of mind to go behind the reception desk to retrieve our passports, only to find them in another guest's cubbyhole ! I can only imagine the possible consequences of that error. They wanted full payment, including the Ant room which we had prepaid in February. The poor Italian waitress who helped us was very embarrassed and we felt sorry for her. They had no record of what wine or drinks we had so she let us have them gratis. What an utter shambles. Zero management. Which is such a shame given the lovely venue and great chef. Come to eat, but think twice...
