Pizzeria la Certosa — Restaurant in Calci

We loved it here. We actually went here twice during our one week vacation here. The staff is super friendly and they speak English well so that you can communicate well. There is a lot of space for outside seating, which was great for us as a group of 15. We called ahead and they had already arranged all the tables into one big table for us. The menu is only in Italian, so we had to translate quite a bit with our phone, but you’d expect this on vacation. Also the waitress explained everything we didn’t understand. The food is amazing. We mostly had pizza and the antipasti. It’s really nice here, because this is not a touristy place and you see all the Italians coming here to eat. We definitely recommend coming here when...

Pizze buone e ben condite, prezzi giusti. Provati primi e secondi in altre occasioni, ad es. ottimi e abbondanti gli gnocchetti agli scampi, antipasto di mare generoso, ricordo delle trofiette davvero buone... insomma, siamo sempre rimasti molto soddisfatti. Ambiente interno caldo ed accogliente. Servizio abbastanza rapido, ma in genere un po' teso, camerieri mai scortesi ma nemmeno sorridenti. Purtroppo non ci vengo volentieri in estate, perché mangiare all'esterno, soprattutto in prossimità della porta, significa prendersi il fumo di dipendenti e clienti che usano quello spazio come fumoir. Nel nostro caso, anche proprietario e pizzaiolo si sono seduti nel tavolo accanto al nostro a fumare a turno senza preoccuparsi della clientela intorno (e non siamo stati i soli infastiditi). Vero, non è vietato, ma almeno dai gestori mi sarei aspettato un minimo di attenzione in più. Se posso dare un consiglio, chiederei che almeno il personale non fumi durante il servizio, o quantomeno lo faccia ben lontano dai tavoli dove ci sono ancora dei clienti che consumano. Tornerò ai primi freddi, almeno al chiuso... assaporerò con più piacere quello...

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit einer vielfältigen Auswahl an Pizzen sowie anderen leckeren Gerichten. Ich würde definitiv wieder für die Pizza herkommen. Wir waren zu viert dort und hatten zuvor reserviert, da das Lokal sehr gefragt ist. Die Reservierung verlief problemlos. Mit dem Personal konnten wir uns problemlos auf Englisch verständigen. Unsere Bedienung, Aida oder Ayda (?), war sehr sympathisch und hat uns den Abend versüßt. Der Service war insgesamt perfekt, aufmerksam und herzlich. Wir konnten unser Abendessen auf der schönen Terrasse genießen. Es gab genügend Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, was den Besuch zusätzlich angenehm machte. Die Preise sind absolut fair, besonders in Anbetracht der hohen Qualität der Speisen. Ein besonderes Highlight war das Tiramisu. Es war das beste, das ich auf meiner Italienreise gegessen habe. Unser Abend bei der Pizzeria La Certosa war rundum gelungen. Wir haben viel gelacht, köstlich gegessen und uns durchweg wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Sollten wir jemals wieder Calci besuchen oder auf der Durchreise sein, würden wir auf jeden Fall...
