Acquolina Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Campo nell'Elba

We came here because of the recommendation of a local and were not disappointed!

It was a bit busy in the beginning as a big group was just served with their main cause. It took a little longer than usual to take our orders but after that everything ran smoothly.

Ordering Calamari and the mixed fish plate as started was a great decision and I even made a picture of it because it was beautifully arranged.

After that we had two pizza 'La Concettina' & 'La Tonino' (which was recommended by our server). We did not regret ordering it. La Tonino has chorizo on it which makes it salty and delicious!

Even though we came hungry we did not finish the pizza- which is made by a very friendly guy in an oven fired with wood. We will be happy to eat it later today and think back about our stay on Elba.

If you prefer quite places, this is not for you, the restaurant is small in the entry and skilled servers are pacing by fast and often. We liked the busy atmosphere and spotted many locals indicating that this is a prime spot for them as well.

Ci sono molte cose da dire su questo ristorante, tutte negative. Per prima cosa, le due volte in cui ho mangiato a cena ho aspettato 15 minuti prima che ordinassimo e poi altri 15 per l'arrivo dell'acqua e dell' antipasto ( non da 17€ );dopo un'altra mezz'ora abbiamo fatto presente alle cameriere che noi eravamo seduti al tavolo da 1 ora, e loro dopo averci RIchiesto i piatti ordinati li hanno portati dopo 1 minuto ( organizzazione pessima ) e per di più erano freddi, quindi pronti da servire da un po' di tempo. Una persona ha ordinato l'insalata greca e ne è abbastanza soddisfatta, un'altra degli spaghetti al polpo che dalla foto erano completamente diversi e per di più il piatto era molto amaro ( quando abbiamo fatto presente alla cameriera che il piatto era amaro lei ha risposto in modo scortese dicendo che quello in questione era ragù di polpo, cosa che sul menù non era scritta, oltre al fatto che il piatto arrivato conteneva del pomodoro quindi se una persona avesse l'allergia per il pomodoro e ordinasse il piatto, se ne accorgerebbe solo all'arrivo di esso). Io invece, ho ordinato i paccheri al pesce spada e melanzane, mantecati al parmigiano e basilico, penso che il ristorante non sappia cosa voglia dire "mantecare" poiché di parmigiano e basilico, nel piatto, non si sentiva molto; i paccheri erano 8 contati, il pesce spada assente e le melanzane bruciate, il piatto alla fine non era bilanciato, risultava amaro e da vedere poco invitante. Alla fine non abbiamo mangiato molto con i piatti ordinati e abbiamo ordinato una pizza Margherita che abbiamo diviso e così ci siamo saziati. In conclusione dico che i prezzi non sono rapportati al prodotto in quanto noi abbiamo speso 73€ con un 10% di sconto e se si vuole mangiare bene a due passi davanti al ristorante si trova "La Cantina Del Mare" che ha prezzi simili ma con una qualità e un servizio nettamente migliore. Dimentico di dire che la formula " il cliente ha sempre ragione" qui non viene applicata perché le cameriere continuavano a rispondere in modo scortese alle nostre...

The Acquolina restaurant attracted us due to all the positive reviews. I can't however conclude as positively as some others did. Our table was on the terrace just next to the street. Honestly not the best place to sit but in a sense better than in the highly busy interior. Too busy and hot inside. Tbe dishes we have ordered came in asynchronous manner. The Pizza I have ordered came first and I have eaten it almost completely before the pasta of my wife came. Nevertheless the service was nice and the dishes were fine too. nothing special, but OK.
