Casa Sordi OnStreet — Restaurant in Campo nell'Elba

Had high hopes for this restaurant (it is one of very few restaurants in the area to have a higher than 4.5 star rating) but unfortunately I left dissapointed.

I ordered the beef tartare and the classic hamburger. The beef tartare was ok (even though it was ground beef instead of chopped beef), but the hamburger was really dissapointing. The meat was tasteless and the white souce in the hamburger had an odd aftertaste. I received a small packet of ketchup and mayo with the hamburger - of which the ketchup had already been opened. When we notified staff they apologized and brought a fresh one immediately.

Service was overall positive, very friendly and attentive staff and we got a small complementary entré for free which was nice.

I have a hard time recommending this restaurant at this...

Incuriositi e sotto suggerimento di una ragazza dell’ isola, decidiamo da porto ferraio di partire e recarci a casa Sordi…. Chiamiamo prima di partire e ci viene detto alle 12:45 che non prendono prenotazioni, che c’è gente, ma di recarci comunque in loco… arriviamo alle 13:30 ci mettiamo in fila come le altre persone (due coppie prima di noi) fanno sedere la prima coppia dopo 10 minuti, ci dicono che la cucina alle 14 chiude e che non riescono a darci da mangiare… finale della storia ci ritroviamo senza pranzo! Complimenti vivissimi!

Rispondo perché probabilmente ci state confondendo con qualcun altro, siamo stati molto educati e gentili con la cameriera (sua moglie). Riepilogo la vicenda senza dover tirare l acqua al mio mulino, perché non ho bisogno di questo , vi consiglio anche a voi nella vita di essere sempre molto obbiettivi e sinceri, perché la sincerità ripaga sempre. Telefonicamente mi è stato detto che non prendevate prenotazioni, che c era molto affollato, ma che se avessimo voluto provare , forse un posto lo aveste trovato.

Arrivando ci siamo messi in fila come le altre coppie prima di noi, il mio ragazzo ha più volte cercato di avvicinarsi a sua moglie per avvisare del nostro arrivo, ma sua moglie in difficoltà evidente per la situazione , non lo ha potuto considerare.

Onde evitare di metterla in difficoltà , ha atteso con gli altri , arrivato il momento di sedersi, ci è stato detto che non potevamo mangiare poiché la cucina avrebbe chiuso alle 14:00.

Questo ci è stato detto alle 13:45, e noi siamo arrivati al locale alle 13:30.

Mi dispiace che la stia prendendo così , ma purtroppo i fatti sono fatti e sono andati in questo modo. Guardi il mio account, non ho mai lasciato recensioni da 1, faccio anch io questo lavoro e lo amo terribilmente. Mi spiace sopratutto non aver potuto assaggiare le sue delizie che tutta l isola d Elba tanto decanta. Mi spiace anche che la sua risposta sia così improntata sull attaccarci, quando invece potrebbe riflettere sul quanto accaduto , per evitare che ad altri, possa succedere quello che è successo a noi. OMG!!!! Could not find fault with anything. We had the degustation of 7 courses and were surprised with an extra course from the chef of 3 different items almost making it 10 courses. The whole meal was taste sensation after taste sensation. Fine dining experience without the fine dining price tag. As with most degustation menus you pay a little more but by comparison with many restaurants it is very well priced. World class. The service was excellent to match.
