Garden Beach — Restaurant in Campo nell'Elba

Me and my partner visited this place because we really wanted to eat some Sushi.

We were greeted and they helped us right away. We ordered some drinks and then decided to look at the menu, we ordered around 20:30. We waited and waited and waited. People that got there after us got their food earlier than us. Finally around 21:20 we got out first sushi of the evening, it took forever but it was delicious.

After eating the sushi we wanted to order more, it was hard to get in touch with service and even after asking the menu, it took them 10 minutes to grab the menu and give it to us. We decided that was enough, paid and left.

The music was very loud.

To enter this bar you have to wait for the security in a queue (not too bad here but in Italy it’s rare to see this). We were nearly 10 people and we asked if they had a table. They said of course and led us to a two-seat table. We said that it’s impossible when we’re nearly ten of us (they added more chairs which were on the sidewalk, aka public soil). So we protested against this decision as there were many more tables even bigger than ours that were free. One of the security guards came and said we had to leave. I understand they have to make money but treating the clients like idiots that don’t understand anything is just madness. We won’t return here, bad publicity for...

Avevamo adocchiato con la mia compagna il locale già dal primo giorno delle nostre vacanze all'Elba. Una sera, per cena, abbiamo deciso di provare.

Il posto in sé è grande, spazioso, ed organizzato alla moda, con zone divanetto, tavoli dalle sedie alte tipo sgabello da bar e normali tavoli, creando così un'andamento fluido che non rende troppo pesante all'occhio quello che sta attorno.

Siamo stati accolti istantaneamente dal personale, molto sollecito e competente, ma forse troppo impostato. Essendo un ristorante fusion sushi, c'era la possibilità - a detta del nostro primo cameriere - di mangiare giapponese solo dietro prenotazione - e saremmo stati fatti sedere nella zona "ristorante" - altrimenti, senza prenotazione, c'era posto al bar, e il nostro menù poteva spaziare sugli hamburger. Ora, a noi non ha dato alcun fastidio ed anzi, i panini erano davvero ottimi : pensati, preparati e conditi molto bene. Peccato solo che, durante la nostra cena, altre tavolate ed altre coppie siano arrivate ed abbiano avuto modo di attingere ad un menù "misto", ed al loro tavolo, sebbene in zona bar, è arrivato anche del sushi.

Rapporto qualità prezzo, ad ogni modo, più che buona.

Menzione d'onore alla nostra "seconda" cameriera. Per merito di Carlotta questo locale meriterebbe di prendere 12 stelle. Ho incontrato davvero poche persone - e ancora meno alla sua giovane età - fare il lavoro che fa credendoci davvero e mettendoci impegno e dedizione che vanno oltre il richiesto e oltre gli ambienti un po' tossici che ogni tanto si trovano nel mondo della ristorazione balneare.
