Ristorante Pizzeria Il Corallo — Restaurant in Campo nell'Elba

This place is a tourist trap and just ridiculous, probably for the campers on the camping next door. We ordered a "special" Pizza with porcini (cep), rocket, buffalo mozzarella and pomodoro (tomatoes). What we got was a pizza w/o Porcini but mushrooms and the rocket really just looked like s*. So I later went back to the Restaurant with part of the Pizza (we came back from a big bike tour and cooked additonally so we were starving and ate part of the pizza) and showed them the pizza. I told them that this is first of all not poricini but mushrooms and that the rocket was not fresh at all and not even really green anymore. Their answer just was, "porcini is over" because it's no season (although dried porcini exist as well). But this did not stop them to keep the pizza which is extra expensive on the menu without telling my girlfriend anything about the mushrooms. Anyway the rocket was just not fresh and looked like rubbish.

Their offer was to pay back 2€!! of the 10€ pizza. I told them that this is not ok because they just defrauded us charging porcini w/o telling that they use mushrooms which even did not taste like fresh ones but tinned mushrooms. Then the owner started to physically push me!!! and I told him to stop it but he didn't!!! Really he just started to physically touch me and didnt stop... So I left with the 2€ and left also the restover of the not good Pizza.

I never gave any bad recommendation in Google so far but this must be said. Don't go there...

Purtroppo, la mia esperienza al ristorante questa sera è stata al di sotto delle aspettative. Avevamo prenotato per le 20.30, ma siamo arrivati con un ritardo di 5 minuti, avvisando che saremmo stati in ritardo di 15 minuti. Avevamo fatto una richiesta esplicita al telefono, di mangiare all'aperto con vista sul mare, ma abbiamo dovuto aspettare circa 30/40 minuti prima di ottenere un tavolo ( probabilmente perché il nostro tavolo è stato dato ad altri per errore ) . Nonostante le scuse e un prosecco di benvenuto , è stato un inizio un po' deludente. Una volta seduti, il servizio è stato cortese e cordiale, il tempo di attesa per il cibo era nella norma.Abbiamo preso le pizze e non erano eccezionali , erano semplicemente delle pizze normali . Il costo, sebbene conforme ai prezzi dell'Isola d'Elba, non sembrava adeguato per la qualità della pizza. In tutto ció , va menzionato che la location del ristorante e la vista sul mare notturna sono assolutamente fantastiche e meritano una menzione speciale. L'atmosfera serale con il mare di fronte ha creato un'ambientazione suggestiva che ha contribuito a migliorare la nostra serata.
