It’s a real pity about the rude people working there because the food was delicious. The service was atrocious. We waited more than half an hour between courses so we couldn’t really enjoy the second course - our stomachs had closed. We told the waiters we were in a hurry and they literally said it’ll be ready when they’re nice and ready. They were again rude when I said I wanted to order a glass of wine but it was too late… I got lectured that the food actually came in time and that they don’t feel bad at all. Thank god we hadn’t ordered more food. Two courses and 2 cocktails took them more than two hours. This is not an amusing joke when there were only 2 other tables occupied. We spent our dinner here as it was on our way from Volterra to Lucca and we were surprised about the level of hospitality and food quality we found on this place. The 2 service guys were so friendly and attentive, speaking perfect English and being helpful with all questions around dishes etc. the food we liked so much, had a pasta porcini and salsiccia, some of us were in love with the pecorino cheese platter and the wine recommendation for us was perfect.
