What a beautiful restaurant - the setting is beautiful with a view over Lucca and the surrounding hills, the staff were lovely - very forgiving of our lack of Italian and really sweet with our 1 year old. The Food - well it was delicious, local and the menu was adjusted for one who doesn't eat meat. The quality was incredible and the value equally so - £50 for 2, a free meal for the baby and endless amounts of locally sourced wine and water. Absolutely love the food here and the staff is very kind and helpful!! A lot of the locals come to dine here as well. Their menu changes often as it depends on what they are able to get from their market for the day or week. For us, the menu was “fish”. We had at least 5 courses of seafood items! From seafood risotto to a platter of fried seafood, everything was delicious! Lastly, we had some tiramisu for dessert. I am only giving 1 star because 0 wasn’t an option. The food was over salted, cold, soaked in oil, and tasteless. The best thing we had was the bread and water…so if you’re down for prison food, this is your place! Food was brought out very slowly and we repeatedly had to ask for it.
