It seems there’s a bit of a tradition in Capo D’Orlando that on the weekend of the Capo Festival honouring Maria SS, a few of the local bars sell this special pork sausage in a bun.
La Prosciutteria had a pork sausage and beer deal going so I figured I had better join the locals and try out this local delicacy.
I do enjoy a good pork sausage and this one lived up to the expectation. It was served with onions and a touch of mayonaise in a toasted bun. The beer was very cold - that’s just the way I like it.

Read moreI ordered 8 different paninis with a very reasonable price in total 38euro. The shrimp sandwich was priced the highest, yet the worst in quality more like a scam sandwich without any local ingredient. The shrimps were fake disgusting sashimi like in the picture.
Unfortunately I realized that after I came back to my hotel far away from Orlando. The other sandwiches below average, with processed ingredients, nothing local (even the pesto and burrata were store bought.
