Passaparola Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Capo d'Orlando

We visited this restaurant twice—first as a group of three, and later with a party of eleven. The food was consistently very good: the pizzas were excellent, portion sizes generous, and desserts delicious. No one in our group had any complaints about the flavors or quality.

That said, the service was mixed. On our first visit, only one of us spoke Italian, and we weren’t offered an English menu, which made ordering a challenge. It also took quite a while to get our order in, despite us trying multiple times to get the server’s attention. It felt like we were overlooked.

On our second visit with a larger group, we were given English menus (thankfully) and service was somewhat more attentive. However, after finishing dessert and coffee, we waited nearly 50 minutes just to receive the check—even though we asked multiple times in Italian. Staff would smile, nod, and then walk away without bringing it.

Esperienza pessima al locale, non mi sono mai sentito trattato così male. Premetto che a pranzo c'erano veramente poche persone, per tanto privo di confusione. Aprono le danze non appena arrivati al locale e seduti, il cameriere ci accoglie dicendoci di ordinare tutti la stessa cosa se possibile, o quante meno diversificazioni individuali . In parole povere, ci ha detto di ordinare o solo pasta allo scoglio o comunque un unico primo l'uno (eravamo 7/8persone). Bene, fin qui abbastanza strano e insolito, che un cameriere ti chiede di ordinare la stessa cosa per non "intasare" la cucina (eravamo massimo una ventina in totale nel locale). Sarà per il seguente motivo che metto una stella e non zero (sarcasticamente ovviamente), ovvero, il primo quantomeno era buono, menomale che il cuoco, in termini di professionalità, si è differenziato dal personale. Ordino come seconda portata degli arancinetti al pesce spada. Bene. NON ORDINATE QUESTI ARANCINI; ne abbiamo ordinati un DECINA, TUTTI CONGELATI. Io sono rimasto senza parole, do il primo morso e li lascio tutti sul piatto in quanto erano letteralmente duri e congelati dentro. Non appena glielo comunico al cameriere, sbeffeggiando, mi risponde che avrebbe provveduto sostituendoli.... Immaginate un po', 15 minuti di attesa senza insistere ulteriormente, e non ce li porta più. Innervosito particolarmente, mi alzo dal tavolo, vado per pagare in cassa, glielo comunico e tipo a presa in giro mi risponde "beh, potevi dirglielo al cameriere e te li sostituivamo", io rispondo chiaramente che lo avessi già fatto, e lei mi risponde "ah, mi dispiace allora". 20€ di arancinetti pagati, lasciati in quanto non commestibili e pure preso in giro dal personale stesso. I would call it absolute standard - in terms of food and service.

Bruschetta was below average Service was almost not able to speak English even they been quite young Table inside was not available - table outside was available. However, I needed to prepare my chair by myself Waiter took my order but needed 2 to type it into his machine. In this time no eye contact and no conversation.
